Cricket is a great way for Aussie kids to get active which is why MILO team, with their long-standing commitment to supporting active lifestyles for children, has partnered with Cricket Australia for the last 20 years. Thanks to its junior development programs like MILO in2CRICKET and MILO T20 Blast, the popular Aussie brand has introduced more than half a million Aussie kids to the game of cricket.

To celebrate their involvement in the upcoming cricket season this summer, the MILO team is inviting parents of kids aged between 5 and 12 years living in Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Melbourne or Sydney to enter the competition to win a ‘Money Can’t Buy Experience’ with the Australian Cricket Team. In addition to the major prize, they are also giving seven young cricket loving kids from Adelaide, Perth, Hobart, Melbourne or Sydney the chance to win an ‘Anthem Ceremony Experience’ which will include singing the national anthem in front of a member of the Australian Cricket Team or opposition team at an upcoming Vodafone Test match in their capital city.

Prize: MAJOR PRIZE: 1 x money-can’t-buy experience
a)Major Prize is a money-can’t-buy experience redeemable at the Vodafone Test Match in the city that the Major Prize winner nominated in their entry. The prize includes 4 reserved seats for the Vodafone Test Match; a bat signed by the Australian Team and 1 x Commonwealth Bank Series Australian replica shirt and cap, (clothing size to be nominated by the winner when they claim their prize). The winner must nominate a child aged between 5 and 12 years to take aspects of the prize (for details, please see Terms and Conditions).


ANTHEM CEREMONY PRIZE: (7 x anthem ceremony prizes in each city)
a)An opportunity for the winner to nominate a child aged between 5 and 12 years to participate in the Anthem Ceremony standing on the field with the Australian Team or opposition team at a Vodafone Test match (see schedule at point 13 below). The prize includes reserved seats for 4 people. The prize does not include transport or spending money and the winner must make their own arrangements to travel to the Vodafone Test Match to take the prize. There are a total of 35 Anthem Ceremony Prizes to be awarded, (7 in each city where a Vodafone Test Match will be played).

To enter, simply fill in your details below and tell us in 25 words or less “who is your child’s Australian cricket hero and why?” Most creative answer wins.

The competition commences 25 October 2012 and closes 4:00pm AEDST Thursday 15th November 2012.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1.      Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. Entry into the competition is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions.

 

2.      Entry is open to residents of Australia who live in Adelaide, Sydney, Perth, Hobart and Melbourne, who are over 18 years and are the parent or guardian on at least one child aged between 5 and 12 years (“Eligible Entrant”). Employees and their immediate families of Fairfax Digital Australia & New Zealand Pty Ltd and its associated agencies and companies are not eligible to enter.

 

3.      It is a condition of entering the competition and claiming a prize that the winner understands and acknowledges that there are aspects of the ‘Major Prize - Money Can’t Buy Experience’ and ‘Anthem Ceremony Experience’ that can only be taken by a child aged between 5 and 12 years. See point 12 below for prize details.

 

4.      The competition starts on Thursday 25 October at 8:00pm [BC1] Australian Eastern Daylight Saving Time (“AEDST”) and will end at 4:00pm AEDST on Thursday 15th November for the purpose of selecting 7 winners from each of the following capital cities: Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide, Perth and Hobart to coincide with dates for the remaining Vodafone test matches in each capital city.

 

5.      Winners will be contacted by email once judging has concluded. Winners must claim their prize via return email within 48 hours of being notified. Once a prize has been claimed the winner will be sent an email confirming the details of their prize, including an outline of the event details including location, arrival time, and any further details necessary for the winner to take their prize. In the event a winner does not claim their prize within 48 hours of notification, the prize will be forfeited and the prize awarded to another Eligible Entrant.

 

6.      To submit a valid entry, the entrant must nominate the city of their choice for attending a Vodafone test match (see schedule at point 13 below).

 

7.      To enter, entrants must simply fill in their contact and address details via the entry form on the Essential Kids website, select which city they live in and tell us in 25 words or less “who is your child’s Australian cricket hero and why”.

 

8.      Entry into the competition is limited to once per Eligible Entrant.

 

9.      This competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the identity of each prize winner. The Promoter will judge every valid entry received on its merit and will award the Major Prize to the entry it judges to be the best overall. The judges will then award Anthem Ceremony Prizes to seven winning entries from each city hosting a Vodafone Test Match, (total of 35 Anthem Ceremony Prize winners).

 

10.   Prize winners will be notified by email after Thursday 15th November 2012. The judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. All entries become the property of Essential Kids and cannot be returned.

 

11.   The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions of Entry or who has, in the opinion of Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winner’s entry is of a type described in this clause.

 

12.   The following prizes will be awarded:

a)      Major Prize is a money-can’t-buy experience redeemable at the Vodafone Test Match in the city that the Major Prize winner nominated in their entry. The prize includes 4 reserved seats for the Vodafone Test Match;[M E2]  a signed bat by the Australian Team and 1 x Commonwealth Bank Series Australian replica shirt and cap, (clothing size to be nominated by the winner when they claim their prize). The winner must nominate a child aged between 5 and 12 years to take the following aspects of the prize:

i)    Opportunity to watch the team warm up on the field and be present at the coin toss

ii)   Be an official flag bearer

iii)  Be interviewed on the field

iv)  Play MILO in2CRICKET during the Lunch Break 

 

The prize does not include transport or spending money and the major prize winner must make their own arrangements to travel to the Vodafone Test Match to take the prize.

b)      Anthem Ceremony Prize is an opportunity for the winner to nominate a child aged between 5 and 12 years to participate in the Anthem Ceremony standing on the field with the Australian Team or opposition team at a Vodafone Test match (see schedule at point 13 below). 14.   If any prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to relevant State and Territory Regulations.

 

15.   In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the prize.

 

16.   Should an entrant’s contact details change during the competition period, it is the Eligible Entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to Promoter.

 

17.   If for any reason the Anthem Ceremony does not occur due to unforeseen circumstances (e.g. due to rain or cancellation), the Promoter and Cricket Australia will endeavour to arrange for the winners to form a guard of honour as the Australian Team (and opposition team if agreed by them) enter the ground after the lunch break of the Vodafone Test Match. Cricket Australia reserves the right in its absolute discretion to change or amend the International Cricket program without notice. Neither the Promoter nor Cricket Australia accept responsibility for the cancellation or delay of any day of any Test, One Day International or other match for any reason beyond the control of the Promoter or Cricket Australia.

 

18.   By entering this Competition entrants agree to comply, and ensure that each ticket holder complies, with the ticket conditions which accompany any tickets won in conjunction with the Competition. Winners also agree to comply, and ensure that each ticket holder complies, with Cricket Australia’s Conditions of Ticket Purchase and Entry into the Venue 2012/2013 supplemented by conditions of entry imposed by the venue operator. The Promoter will provide every person attending the Vodafone Test Series match as part of the prize with a copy of Cricket Australia’s Conditions of Ticket Purchase and Entry into the Venue 2012/2013 with delivery of the prize tickets.

 

19.   Fairfax Digital Australia & New Zealand Pty Ltd and its associated agencies and companies assume no responsibility for any error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to, or alteration of entries, and reserves the right to take any action that may be available.

 

20.   All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this promotion but no further use of this information will be made without prior consent.
