Competition
Terms and Conditions
1. Instructions on how to enter, prize details and other information contained
within the promotional advertisements form part of these terms and
conditions. By participating, in this promotion entrants agree to be bound by
these terms and conditions.
2. To pre-order The West Australian Wine Guide and be in with a chance to win
see the pre-order pointers or ads by West Australian Newspapers Limited Group
and its related corporations (as defined by the Corporations Act 2001) and
then go to westwineguide.com.au. All pre-orders including details received
and payment taken must be complete before 5pm, Thursday, 8
th
November,
2012.
3. Only pre-orders taken via westwineguide.com.au from Tuesday 16th October,
2012 and Thursday, 8
th
November, 2012 and orders where all details and
payment have been received by 5:00pm on Thursday, 8
th
November, 2012 are
eligible.  Pre-orders taken outside of these dates or if payment is not received
are not eligible.
4. Subject to clause 14, entry is open to all residents of Western Australia over
the age of 18. Photo identification may be required upon redemption of the
prize.
5. The prize winner will be drawn at random from all eligible entries at 10am on
Monday, November 12, 2012.
6. The first valid pre-order details selected at random from all online entries will
be deemed the winner and will receive the following prize, the total RRP of
the prize is $1400.
• Any 2 nights for up to 6 persons in a 3 bedroom Bay beach front
upstairs apartment at Aqua Resort, Busselton.
• Bottle of local wine on arrival.
• Late 3pm checkout.
7. The winner will be notified by telephone after the prize draw. In the instance
that the winner cannot be contacted on the phone number provided within
five (5) working days, the prize will be forfeited and a new winner will be
drawn.
8. The prize/s must be taken as supplied and is/are neither redeemable for cash
nor transferable.
9. The recipient of this prize is responsible for all travel costs to and from the
accommodation, any accommodation required outside the specified prize
nights, spending money, ground transportation and any other expenses not
stated.
10. All prize elements are subject to availability. 11. The prize is not valid during school holidays, public holiday weekends or
during special event periods.
12. It is a condition of entry that all prize winners agree to have their name and
suburb published for publicity purposes if required. By participating in this
competition, participants signify their acceptance of all conditions and the
requirement to participate in promotional activity if required.
13. In participating in the competition, entrants agree to participate and cooperate as required in all editorial activities relating to the competition,
including but not limited to being interviewed and photographed. The winner
agrees to grant the Promoter a perpetual and exclusive licence to use such
footage and photographs, as well as their actual entries (whether on DVD or
photograph) in all media worldwide and the winner will not be entitled to any
fee for such use. The winner agrees they will not,and will ensure that their
companions do not, sell or otherwise provide their story and/or photographs to
any media or other organisation.
14. On completion of the prize draw, entries will be stored for a 12 month period
at The West Australian. All entries will be destroyed after this time period. No
personal details will be recorded unless requested by the entrant.
15. Employees of West Australian Newspapers Limited Group their associated
agencies and immediate families, are ineligible to enter.
16. All contestants release from, and indemnify West Australian Newspapers Pty
Ltd against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any
prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss
of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or
consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.
17. West Australian Newspapers Limited Group, and associated agencies accept no
responsibility for any loss, damage, accident, death or injury resulting from the
promotion.
18. Entry into this competition signifies acceptance of all conditions.  The
Promoters’ decision will be final and cannot be contested.  No correspondence
will be entered into.  The Promoters reserve the right to limit entry or amend
rules if considered necessary without notice.
19. A) The entrant consents to the use by West Australian Newspapers Limited
Group and its related corporations (as defined by the Corporations Act 2001)
of the entrants’details and acknowledges that West Australian Newspapers
Limited Group and its related corporations, may, at its discretion disclose and
use those details for the purpose of providing you with goods or services,
communicating with you, planning, research, product and business
development and sales, the promotion and marketing (whether target, direct
or indirect) of their businesses, services or products or those of a third party
which we believe may be of benefit to you. The details will also be used to
investigate complaints, as required or permitted by any law, to enable West
Australian Newspapers Limited Group to perform its obligations to you under
this or any other agreement and to ensure that you perform your obligations
under this or any other agreement.
B) If you do not want the details to be used for the purposes stated in
clause 20.A please write to us at The West Australian (attention Group
General Counsel), GPO Box D162 Perth WA 6840, or contact the Group General Counsel on 08 9482 3111 and The West Australian will ensure that
the details are not used for that purpose.

20. The promoter is West Australian Newspapers Limited Group of 50 Hasler Road
Osborne Park, WA 6017, (ABN 98 008 667 632).
