And this contemporary brand of filmmaking will be clearly on display at the upcoming Japanese Film Festival, with this year marking the event’s biggest line-up to date. Just a couple of festival highlights include Japan’s biggest box office hit this year, Thermae Romae; the acclaimed family portrait, A Chronicle of My Mother; the Japanese supernatural thriller, Goose Bumps – the Movie; and the heart warming animated family flick, Friends: Naki on the Monster Island.
