If Wolf Creek has taught us anything, it’s that Australian filmmakers sure know their way around a good horror flick, and The King Is Dead! is no exception. Having just purchased what they think is their dream home, Max (Dan Wyllie) and Theresa (Bojana Novakovi) move in to find a warm and loving family on one side of the fence, and King (Gary Waddell), a noisy neighbour who actively engages in drug deals, domestic violence and non-stop malice on the other (so exactly what you want in a neighbor…). King’s actions and brash behaviour push Max and Theresa to their breaking point and the couple is forced to take matters into their own hands. We then watch director Rolf de Heer delve into the subject matter of how decent people would react to living amongst dangerous delinquents and how far one would go to protect their family. Is that giving anyone else Liam Neeson vibes? Sounds good to us! Did we mention Margaret and David gave it 4 and 3 stars respectively?

"The King Is Dead!" on DVD and Blu-Ray - Terms and Conditions of Entry:

1. Entry is open to residents of Australia and New Zealand except employees and immediate families of nextmedia and its agencies associated with the promotion.
2. Only entries completed with these terms and conditions will be eligible.
3. Competition starts 16th November 2012 and entries close at 11.59pm 16th December 2012.
4. This is a game of skill and entrants must answer the question: "What is the most annoying thing your neighbours have ever done?" in 25 words or less. The most creative answer will win.
5. Total prize pool is valued at $354.50
6. In determining eligibility the judge’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
7. Entries will be judged 17th December 2012 at nextmedia Level 6, Building A, 207 Pacific Highway, St Leonards NSW 2065.
8. Prizes are not redeemable for cash.
