Zinc's Running of the Brides-To-Be returns to the North Queensland Wedding & Formal Expo at the Shangri-la/Pier on Sunday 17th February at 1pm.

The winner takes away a 2 night stay in a Shangri-La 'Horizon Club Marina View Suite' with access to the exclusive Horizon Club Lounge, including breakfast, all day drinks, evening beverages and canapés.

HOW IT WORKS:

    10 lovely Brides-To-Be will race around a short designated course, accessorised in pre-loved gowns, provided by the Leukaemia Foundation.
    The first Bride-To-Be across the finishing line will win the major prize.
    Entrants need to be at NQ Wedding & Formal Expo by 12.30pm to register. Race commences at 1.00pm.

 Zinc's Running of the Brides-To-Be- Terms and Conditions

The following terms and conditions apply for the Zinc 102.7 and Events NQ "Running of the Brides-To-Be" promotion. These terms and conditions apply in conjunction with Prime Radio Network General Contest Rules. Where there is any inconsistency, these terms and conditions will prevail.


1. DURATION


The active promotion is from Monday 4th to Sunday 17th February 2013, with the actual competition event staged on Sunday 17th February 2013 at 1.00pm.


2. METHOD OF ENTRY


Listeners are invited to pre-register on the Zinc "Running of the Brides-To-Be" competition website: (www.radiozinc.com.au) 10 places will be available.


If we do not have sufficient Brides-To-Be we may also choose to pre-register between 12.00noon and 1.00pmat Main Stage registration area at The Pier on Sunday 17th February 2013.


No website entries into the promotion will be accepted after 10am (EST) on Friday 15th February 2013.
Only one entry per person is allowed.


All pre-registered entrants must collect their race information and complete and sign all required race forms between 12.30pm-1.00pm at the "Running of the Brides-to-Be" registration area at The Pier on Sunday 17th February 2013.


Any pre-registered person that has not completed and signed all required race forms by 12.45pm on Sunday 17th February 2013 will be automatically disqualified from the promotion.

 

No entry mechanism into this promotion, other than that described above, is possible.


3. RACE DETAILS


A foot relay race will be staged at 1.00pm on Sunday 17th February 2013, whereby the entrant will carry a "baton" from the "start" to the "finish" via a series of checkpoints around The Pier and Shangri-La Hotel precinct of Cairns.


Once both the entrant has completed the race course without being disqualified, or having any reason to be disqualified, with their "baton" in hand, they will be deemed to have successfully completed the race.


The first person to successfully complete the race will be the winner.


The checkpoints will be clearly visible, and will be described to all participants prior to the start of the race. It is the responsibility of the participants of the promotion to ensure that they fully understand where the checkpoints are, and how they are to navigate them, prior to commencement of the race. Failure of any participant to understand where a checkpoint is, or how to navigate it, gives them absolutely no right of appeal to the outcome of the promotion. Any person that fails to pass by a required checkpoint will be automatically disqualified from the promotion.


The "baton" will be provided to each person by the race officials. Each person must start and finish each leg of the race with their "baton" in-hand.


Officially registered entrants will comply with all directions of race officials at all times.


Any entrant that does not comply with these terms & Conditions will be automatically disqualified from the promotion.


4. PRIZE


Only the winning entrant will receive the prize of '2 night stay in a Horizon Club Marina View Suite with access to our exclusive Horizon Club Lounge including breakfast, all day drinks, evening beverages and canapés – Shangri-la Hotel, Cairns.

 

5. PRIZE PRESENTATION


The prize will be presented to the winning entrant at a presentation ceremony at the NQ Wedding & Formal Expo on Sunday 17th February 2013.


6. ADULTS ONLY


Entrants must be over the age of 18 years. Proof of ID will be required.


7. CANCELLATION OR POSTPONEMENT


If the "NQ Wedding & Formal Expo" event scheduled for Sunday 17th February 2013 is postponed to another date or cancelled altogether, then this promotion is also deemed to be postponed to the new date (if the event is postponed) or cancelled altogether (if the event is cancelled).


No compensation shall be required to be made payable to any entrant in the promotion for cancellation or postponement of this promotion.


8. INDEMNITY


All contestants release from, and indemnify PRIME RADIO NETWORK and EVENTS NQ against, all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, personal injury and damage to property and whether direct or consequential, foreseeable, due to some negligent act or omission or otherwise.


Prime Radio reserves the right to alter or drop contest hours from the competition in any or all markets due to changed programming conditions in the event of a natural disaster or for any other unforeseeable reason, without any notification to any entrant being required.


9. NOTIFICATION


The winning entrant will be notified at the completion of the race on Sunday 17th February 2013, after all race officials are agreed on the correct determination of the winner.


10. ENTRY CONDITIONS


Employees and their immediate families of Prime Radio and Events NQ are ineligible to enter. Employees and their immediate families of all associated sponsors, prize providers and participating companies are also ineligible to enter.
If after the winner's announcement a breach of eligibility is discovered, the prize will not be awarded.
Only one prize is awarded at the completion of the promotion.


Prime Radio reserves the right to change the entry details of the competition at any stage throughout the promotion, without any notification to any entrant being required.


11. PRIZE POOL


There will be total prize pool of '2 night stay in a Horizon Club Marina View Suite with access to our exclusive Horizon Club Lounge including breakfast, all day drinks, evening beverages and canapés – Shangri-la Hotel, Cairns.
The winning person will be awarded the prize at the "Events NQ Wedding & Formal Expo" at The Pier on Sunday 17th February 2013.


12. SELECTION OF WINNERS


The judge's decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
