International Women’s Day Concert

The International Women’s Development Agency (IWDA) is the only Australian development organisation focused solely on women’s rights and gender equality across Asia and the Pacific. This boggles our mind and emphasises how important it is we get behind it, so we have two tickets to the event up for grabs, for one winner to take a friend. BYO bras and matches.

IWDA will celebrate International Women’s Days 2013 with a concert, ‘Half the Sky’, at the Melbourne Recital Centre on March 7th with the aim of raising funds to continue their work in Australiasia. A bunch of inspiring and strong women will be in attendance including the IWDA’s Patron and keynote speaker for the evening, Governor-General Quentin Bryce, and the event host, Indira Naidoo, complemented by the girl-power vocals of Clare Bowditch, Deborah Conway & Willy Zygier, Mahalia Barnes Duo, The Rebelles and Em Rusciano.

IWDA’s vision is for a just, equitable and sustainable world where women have a powerful voice in economic, cultural, civil and political life. That sounds very right to us, so why not help create empowering and transformative change for women at the same time as treating yourself to a bevy of female vocal talent?

Purchase your tickets here. Get more info about the IWDA here.

We have a double pass to ‘Half the Sky’ to give away , so if you tell us ‘Who your most inspiring woman is and why’, you could be in the audience for one of the most worthwhile concerts, well, ever.
