Where: The Barracks, Palace Cinemas, 61 Petrie Terrace (top of Caxton Street)

The Barracks are again hosting their lavish high tea at Palace Cinemas this Mother's Day,
which includes a screening of the anticipated comedy The Big Wedding.

The upstairs of the Palace Barracks Cinema will be transformed into an elegantly
adorned high tea affair, allowing guests to take in panoramic views of Brisbane city while
enjoying a myriad of traditional high tea delicacies.

This will be the fourth Mother's Day high tea, an annual Barracks event that
has become a tradition for many patrons of the centre.

Upon arrival, all guests will be treated to a Bellini before being seated for a traditional high tea.
Tiers of scones with jam and cream, mini quiches, Mediterranean Involtinis, sweet tartlets
and macaroons from French Twist, will be on offer. Pots of both Earl Grey and English
Breakfast tea will be served throughout the event.

After the high tea, guests will experience a screening of the romantic comedy The Big Wedding starring Robert DeNiro, Diane Keaton, and Amanda Seyfried to name a few.

"The Big Wedding is one of this year's most anticipated romantic comedy film releases due to its all start cast and original plot," said QLD Events Manager of Palace Cinemas, Charley Greaves. To top off this afternoon of indulgence, lucky chair prizes will be drawn after the high tea. Click here to purchase tickets for $50 (plus booking fee). The event will run from 10:30am – 1:30pm on Sunday 12th May, 2013.
