The much loved Dutch bunny miffy has just been on the big screen here in Australia. She has starred in her very first movie ever, miffy the movie.

miffy the movie is based on the stories by Dick Bruna and is perfect for all young children and even big kids who are miffy fans.

The movie runs for 68 minutes and when you watch it you can see the amount of time and energy that has been put into it.

“Miffy, her friends Melanie and Grunty and her dog Snuffy set out on a treasure hunt through the zoo. Father and Mother Bunny give them five riddles through a Treasure Hunt Song, about a color, a shape, a movement, a number and a sound. While discovering animals that answer to the riddles, Miffy and her friends learn how to work together, find creative ways to collaborate and to reward each other for a job well done. And in the end, they are rewarded with a big surprise.”

Unique to the new miffy movie, is miffy now has her own voice. I thought it was quite nice to hear miffy with a voice and it made the storyline easy to follow and allowed the characters to interact. The movie also has an interactive element with miffy asking the audience questions while on the treasure hunt. The kids really liked this.

You can check out the movie trailer below and not only see the how beautifully it has been produced but the lovely music that accompanies the movie too.

I thought the storyline was sweet and something the whole family can enjoy. The kids really liked when the Zebra was hidden under the mud and only revealed once being washed. The length of the movie is also good and keeps them entertained, even though there are sure to be a few wiggly moments from the youngest of viewers.

If you have a miffy fan in your house, miffy the movie will be sure to be a hit and something that will watched again and again.

miffy the movie is available on DVD and digital download from May 29th at all good online and instore DVD retailers for RRP $19.95.
