See the World at a Whole New Angle - Conditions of Entry
1. Information on the Competition and how to enter form part of these Conditions of
Entry. By entering the Competition you agree to be bound by these conditions of entry
and all decisions of the Competition promoter (Katoomba Scenic Railway Pty Ltd T/A
Scenic World), which are final in all matters relating to the promotion. The Competition
and these conditions of entry are void where prohibited by law. Any changes to these
Conditions of Entry will be published on the Scenic World website at
www.scenicworld.com.au

2. The promoter is Katoomba Scenic Railway Pty Ltd. T/A Scenic World of 1 Violet
Street, Katoomba, NSW 2780 Australia.

3. Employees of Scenic World, subsidiaries and affiliated companies, and members of
their immediate families or households, are ineligible to enter this Competition.

4. Entry is free. No purchase necessary. Multiple entries are not allowed. You must be
older than 18 years of age at the time applications close July 14, 2013 To enter, tell us
which if your favourite angle to ride the Scenic Railway and why (in 25 words or less)
along with your contact details.

5. Competition entries may be submitted from 9.00am Australian Eastern Standard
Time (UTC + 10) on June 6, 2013 to midnight Australian Eastern Standard Time (UTC
+10) on July 14, 2013. Entries are deemed to be received at the time of receipt by
Scenic World and Scenic World records are conclusive as to the time of receipt. If
necessary, all dates are subject to change at Scenic World’s discretion.

6. The judging panel will select one winner based on the most creative response. The
successful contestant will be contacted by email.

7. Judging selection will be conducted at Scenic World, 1 Violet Street, Katoomba NSW,
2780 between July 14 - July 24, 2013. The judges' decision is final and no
correspondence will be entered into, including in the event of a dispute. Chance plays
no part in determining the successful Prize Winner.

8. The Prize Winner will receive the following:
- One (1) x Family Annual Pass, valid for 2 adults and up to 5 children under 14
years of age.(value $239)
-
- Two (2) x nights accommodation at the Carrington Hotel, Katoomba (or hotel of
similar value) for a family of four based on quad share.(value $500)
-
- Lunch for four (4) at Scenic World’s eatery – EATS270 (value $80)
-- Four (4) x domestic economy return flights to Sydney from the Prize Winner’s
nearest capital city (if residing outside of New South Wales). Flights and
carriers are booked at the discretion of Scenic World. (value approx. $1000.)
Total value of the Prize is $1819

9. The Prize Winner may select their preferred dates for the prize but the Prize must be
redeemed taken before December 15, 2013. Scenic World reserves the rights to
change the Prize winner’s preferred dates if reasonable flights or accommodation are
unavailable.
10. The Prize value is accurate as of the Competition commencement date. Scenic
World accepts no responsibility for any subsequent variation in the Prize value. The
Prize cannot be refunded, transferred, substituted or redeemed for cash.
11. Scenic World reserves the right at its sole discretion to substitute the Prize for cash
or items of comparable value should the Prize not be awarded as described for any
reason.
12. The Prize Winners will be notified by email and published on the Scenic World
website (www.scenicworld.com.au) and Scenic World Facebook page
(www.facebook.com/scenicworld) by July 24, 2013.
13. If the Prize Winner is not immediately identifiable or contactable, Scenic World will
make all reasonable efforts at identification and contact. If the Prize winner does not
accept the prize within seven (7) days of announcement, the next best entry will be
selected as the Prize Winner.
14. No responsibility is taken for late, lost or misdirected mail or any errors or failures in
internet or other communications. Scenic World reserves the right to cancel or modify
the Competition promotion if, in at its sole discretion, the administration of the
Competition promotion is impaired for technical or other reasons beyond its reasonable
control and, in such an event, may select the Competition Prize Winner from all valid
entries received prior to the impairment.
15. The Prize Winner will be responsible for all personal expenses and any other fees
or costs connected with the Prize not included in the Prize description. Winners of the
Prize are responsible for transportation to the point of departure.
16. Prize Winners agree that acceptance of the prize is conditional upon compliance
with all relevant laws, rules and regulations and upon the Prize Winner releasing Scenic
World, and their affiliates, subsidiaries, directors, officers, employees and agents, from
any and all liability, claims, demands and causes of action for any personal injury or
other loss or damage (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss)
suffered in connection with the acceptance or use of the prize, except for any liability
which cannot be excluded by law. Scenic World reserves the right to disqualify the Prize Winner at its absolute discretion in the event of non-compliance or the failure to
provide such releases.[/font]
