Greyhound Night Owl Photo Sharing Facebook Competition


1. Information on how to enter and the prize forms part of these Conditions of Entry.

2. The Promoter is Greyhound Australia (ABN 59 104 326 383) at 213 Holt Street, Eagle Farm QLD 4009.

3. The officers, management and employees (and their immediate families) of the Promoter and its related bodies corporate and any agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible. 

4. The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.

5. The Promotion commences on Tuesday 6 August 2013 at 4pm AEST. Entries close Wednesday 28 August 2013 at 11:59pm AEST.

6. To enter, Eligible Entrants must upload a photo and complete the entry details on our Night Owl Photo Competition facebook application at www.facebook.com.au/Greyhound.Australia

7. Prizes consist of 2 x 1000km Greyhound Passes valued at AUD$376.

8. The photo receiving the most votes by Facebook fans will be deemed the winner.

9. Greyhound reserves the right to reject photos which do not meet the criteria of a twilight or night time photo of an Australian destination, or photos containing inappropriate or offensive content

10. The prize winners will be notified via email.  Prize winners will also be mentioned via Social Media avenues such as the Greyhound Australia Facebook page and on Twitter once notification has been sent (for privacy reasons this will be first name and last initial).
11. By submitting a photo the entrant agrees to allow Greyhound Australia to use the photo in official Greyhound marketing material without compensation.
12. If Greyhound does not receive confirmation from a prize winner one week after sending notification of winning the prize, Greyhound reserves the right to defer to the person whose photo had the second highest votes

13. Incomplete entries will be ineligible.

14. Total prize pool is AUD $376. Prizes are not redeemable for cash.  Pass Prizes are subject to the usual Greyhound terms and conditions (available at www.greyhound.com.au).  Once the winner has claimed the prize a voucher will be issued.  The winner then has until 30 June 2014 to book the voucher. Once booked, the 1000km Pass is valid for 6 months.

15. If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupts or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and, subject to any written directions given by the various Lottery Departments, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition.

16. The Promoter is not responsible for any problems or technical malfunction of any telephone network or lines, computer on line systems, servers, or providers, computer equipment, software, technical problems or traffic congestion on the Internet or at any web site, or any combination thereof, (including but not limited to) any injury or damage to participants or any other person's computer related to or resulting from participation in or down-loading any materials in this competition. Any costs associated with accessing the promotional website is the entrant's responsibility and is dependent on the Internet service provider used. Any contact details entered incorrectly on the website shall be deemed invalid.

17. In the case of intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders its determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest or strikes, the Promoter may cancel the promotion and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to any written direction from the various lottery departments.

18. Eligible Entrants enter and participate in the promotion at their own risk. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of taking the prize, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

19. The Promoter collects entrants' personal information in order to conduct the promotion. If the information requested is not provided, the entrant may not participate in the promotion. By entering the promotion, unless otherwise advised, each entrant also agrees that the Promoter may use this information, in any media for future promotional, marketing and publicity purposes without any further reference, payment or other compensation to the entrant, including sending the entrant electronic messages. Entrants' personal information may be disclosed to State and Territory lottery departments and winners' names published as required under the relevant lottery legislation. A request to access, update or correct any information should be directed to the Promoter at their address set out above.

20. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of age, identity and residency prior to awarding the prize. Identification considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that the winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit their prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.

21. This promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed or administered by, or associated with, Facebook. You are providing your information to Greyhound Australia and not to Facebook. The information you provide may be used for further online marketing communications.
