Terms of Participation – The Great Quickbeds Treasure Hunt

 

Promotion conditions:

1.     The promoter of the “Great Quickbeds Treasure Hunt” promotion (“Promotion”) is Flight Centre Limited trading as Quickbeds (ABN 25 003 377 188) of 545 Queen Street, Brisbane, Queensland, 4000 (“Promoter”).

2.     The Promotion will commence at 10:00am AEDT on 28 October 2013 and will continue until 11:59pm AEDT on 10th November 2013 (“Promotion Period”).

3.     Entry is open to all Australian residents aged 18 years and over who are existing subscribers of the Promoter’s email newsletter and/or record that they “like” the Promoter’s official Facebook page and/or register to participate in the Promotion by completing the form on the competition page on the Quickbeds website www.quickbeds.com/win/hunt (each an “Eligible Entrant”). Directors, management and employees of the Promoter and its related companies, and their immediate family members, are not eligible to enter.

4.     Maximum of four entries per Eligible Entrant per mystery hotel ‘hunt’.

One Entry if the user enters the correct codeword for that particular hunt.
An additional two Entries if the user enters the correct codeword within 24 hours of the release of the clue for that particular hunt.
One Entry for each hunt if the user refers a friend using the Refer a Friend form.
5.     The Promotion will consist of 10 mystery hotel hunts throughout the Promotion Period (each a “Hunt”). For each Hunt, the Promoter will load a specially labelled room at a mystery hotel in Australia or New Zealand on the Quickbeds.com website.  The webpage for the specially labelled room will contain a secret code word and an email address. The Promoter will notify Eligible Entrants when the clues for each Hunt  are released (in the case of Eligible Entrants who are subscribers to the Promoter’s email newsletter or who have registered through the Quickbeds websites, notification will be by email, and in the case of Eligible Entrants who have “liked” the Promoter on Facebook, notification will be via the Promoter’s Facebook page).  During each Hunt, the Promoter will provide clues as to the location of the hotel and dates of stay.

6.     To enter the Promotion, Eligible Entrants must, during the Promotion Period, (a) participate in a Hunt by searching for the mystery hotel for that Hunt, (b) successfully locate the mystery hotel and the code word (c) complete the entry form and submit the code word for that hunt. Each hunt has a separate code word so eligible entrants will need to submit a separate entry form for each mystery hotel hunt they wish to participate in.

7.     The Promoter will conduct a random online randomizer prize draw for all 10 Hunts at the Promoter’s offices at 545 Queen Street, Brisbane, Queensland, 4000 on Monday 11 November at 2pm. The winner of each Hunt will be the first Eligible Entrant randomly drawn from the correct entries received for that Hunt in accordance with paragraph 6 above (each a “Winner”). Each Winner will receive a voucher for a 2 night stay at the mystery hotel for the Hunt they have won.

8.     The maximum value for each Prize is $1,000 and the total maximum prize pool for the Promotion is $10,000.

9.     Eligible Entrants may enter more than one Hunt during the Promotion Period but may only enter each Hunt once (i.e., if an Eligible Entrant locates the code word, only one email from that Eligible Entrant with that code word will be counted for the draw).

10.  The Prize must be taken within the valid travel dates as stated in the description of the mystery hotel when located.

11.  Redemption of the Prize will be the responsibility of the Winner, the Prize must be taken as stated and no compensation will be payable if the Winner is unable to use the Prize as stated. The Prize is strictly non-transferable, non-negotiable and may not be replaced or refunded (subject to applicable laws). Any changes, add-ons and additional costs associated with taking or using the Prize, including airfares, insurance, transfers, spending money, booking change and cancellation fees, additional accommodation and incidental accommodation costs (including mini-bar, room service, phone, Internet, spa services, restaurant and bar charges) are the responsibility of the Winner. The Promoter takes no responsibility for any variation in the value of the Prize.  If the Winner does not accept any element of the Prize, the Promoter is not obliged to provide the Winner with a substitute prize.

12.  The Winner will be notified that they have won a Hunt by receiving a valid notification email from an authorised representative of the Promoter.  The Winner’s details will be published on the Promoter’s website on Tuesday 12 November 2013.

13.  If the Prize is unclaimed by the Winner within 3 months of the relevant draw date, the Promoter may conduct a further draw at the Promoter’s offices at 545 Queen Street, Brisbane, Queensland, 4000 (“Unclaimed Prize Draw”), subject to any written direction of the state or territory lottery authorities.  The winner of the Unclaimed Prize Draw will be promptly notified by email and their details will be published on the Promoter’s website. All conditions applying to the original winner will also apply to any winner determined by an Unclaimed Prize Draw.

14.  The Promoter will ensure that sufficient prompts and hints are provided to Registered Players to ensure the prize is claimed by the end of each Hunt.

15.  By registering to participate in the Promotion, Registered Participants agree to receive email notifications from the Promoter in connection with the Promotion during the Promotion Period. Registered Participants may register their details at www.quickbeds.com/win/hunt to receive further notifications from the Promoter in relation to similar promotions to be held by the Promoter in future, and by doing so agree to receive such further email notifications. A person may unsubscribe from receiving email notifications from the Promoter at any time by using the unsubscribe link contained in all emails.

16.  By accepting a Prize, the Winner agrees to be contacted by the Promoter about the Promotion and to participate in the Promoter’s publicity activities as reasonably requested.

17.  Entries will be deemed accepted at the time they are emailed to the Promoter.  Entries received will be considered final by the Promoter. Incomplete, inaccurate, erroneous, illegible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. Entries must be received by the Promoter during the Promotion Period while the relevant Hunt to which they relate continues. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries.

18.  All Promotion registrations and entries remain the property of the Promoter. By entering this Promotion, entrants agree that the Promoter may use and disclose the information they provide in accordance with the Promoter’s Privacy Policy available at www.quickbeds.com.

19.  To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter will not be held liable for any loss, damage or injury which results directly or indirectly from this Promotion, including without limitation any problems or technical failures of any kind, including malfunction of any telephone network or lines, Internet, computer online systems or network, servers or providers, computer equipment or software, the unavailability or inaccessibility of any service whether or not caused by traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website, unauthorised human intervention, electronic or human error, or purported registrations or bookings which are late, illegible, incomplete or made other than as directed in the entry instructions.  The Promoter may end the Promotion early in the event of technical issues and, if this is necessary, will provide notification of this on the Promoter’s website.
