As part of our National campaign Tune In Not Out to Youth Health (TINO:YH 2013), we want to collect your stories and tips for positively managing those challenges life throws at us. You might have a tip about getting through those dreaded exams, or how you helped out a mate, or even a music playlist full of the song that help you wake of a morning.

Enter via our online commenting studio below, where you can leave your tip or story by  uploading an image, recording a short video or audio piece or writing your entry. By entering not only will you be in for the chance to win the just released Microsoft Surface 2 32 GB tablet worth $529 but you can also help out other young people finding their way through. Open to Australian Residents aged 16 - 25 years.

Competition Terms and Conditions

This competition is conducted by the TUNE IN NOT OUT website. TUNE IN NOT OUT is run by the Australian Lions Drug Awareness Foundation.

By participating in the competition and submitting your entry via Our Share Your Story online commenting system, you are deemed to accept these Terms and Conditions of the Competition, and the website.

This Competition is open to Australian residents aged between 16 and 25 years of age, inclusive.

Registrations must be submitted either via email to crew@tuneinnnotout or via the Share Your Story Page on the Tune IN Not Out website and must be received via by 5:00pm AEST on Monday 2nd December, 2013. Any registration received after this date will be deemed invalid.

You are able to enter more than once. Entries that cannot be opened or read/seen/heard by the Tune In Not Out will be deemed invalid.

By entering this competition you affirm that your entry is original and your own work and confirm that it will not infringe the rights of any third party.

By entering this competition, and providing a response to the competition question, you assign all intellectual property rights (including but not limited to full copyright) to Tune In Not Out. You agree that your entry may be used by the Tune In Not Out for promotion, advertising, education, teaching and research purposes. You agree that your response may be published in whole or in part and agree that in using or publishing this ALDAF or Tune In Not Out does not have to acknowledge you as the contributor.

You must ensure and represent that your response is not sexually explicit, offensive or defamatory in any way.

You agree that no fee will be payable to you for the assignment of your entry to the Tune In Not Out and the Tune In Not Out’s use of your entry.

This is a competition of creativity and skill and chance plays no part in determining the winner. Each entry will be individually judged based on merit. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. Entries will not be returned.

There is one prize to be awarded

Microsoft Surface 2 32GB Tablet valued at $529.00. No accessories, covers or additional warranties are included. The prize only comes with what is supplied with the purchase of the item.

Prize value is the recommended retail price as at 18th October 2013.

The winners will be notified by email, using the email address provided on the Share Your Story submission form.

Tune In Not Out will make every effort to contact prize winners by email. Entrants are responsible for ensuring all personal information entered in their entry form is correct and complete. Tune In Not Out is not responsible for any failure to contact a winner as a result of incorrect information.

If the competition prize is not claimed, or the winner is unable to be located within 1 month from the day that the winner is selected, Tune In Not Out may select another winner for the prize.

Tune In Not Out reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity, proof of age and/or proof of entry validity in order to claim a prize. Proof considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of Tune In Not Out. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered.

In the event that any prize item is unavailable, Tune In Not Out reserves the right to substitute a prize item of equal or greater value.

The prizes are NOT transferable or exchangeable and cannot be taken as cash. Any taxes which may be payable as a consequence of a winner receiving a prize are the sole responsibility of the winner.

Tune In Not Out and ALDAF are not liable for any costs associated with entering the Competition.

To the extent permitted by law, Tune In Not Out makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability, merchantability of the prize. Tune In Not Out will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss), or personal injury which is suffered or sustained in relation to this promotion, except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law.

Tune In Not Out accepts no responsibility for late, lost or misdirected entries or for technical or email issues associated with entering this Competition.

Entries which do not comply with these Terms and Conditions will not be eligible for the Competition.

By registering for this Competition you agree to be emailed information related to it for its duration.

Microsoft is not affiliated with the Competition, and as such hold no responsibility or liability regarding the conduct or administration of the competition.

These terms and conditions will be governed by the laws of Australia and the courts of QLD shall have exclusive jurisdiction in relation to any disputes arising therefrom.

Privacy Notice

Personal information collected from you in connection with this Competition is limited to the items on this Registration Form and the subsequent Entry Form and whatever personal information about yourself or other persons that you choose to provide with your registration and entry.

Personal information obtained from you via the share your story submission form and will be used solely for the purposes of running the Competition. Personal information about you or other persons that you have included in your registration and entry may be used by the Tune In Not Out for further education, research, teaching and promotional purposes and may be published. The names of the winner and their home State or Territory, will be published on the TUNE IN NOT OUT website and in other promotional material of ALDAF and Tune In Not Out. Subject to any editing deemed necessary by the Tune In Not Out, we will place the response on the TUNE IN NOT OUT website and other promotional material of ALDAF.

If you advise Tune In Not Out that you do not wish to have your name published and/or do not wish to be contacted for promotional or website development purposes, your name will not be published.

Tune IN Not Out reserves the right, at its discretion, not to include the winner’s name and/or personal information about a third person if Tune In Not Out believes that the inclusion of this identifying information is not appropriate.

In order to submit a story to Tune In Not Out you need to agree to some Terms and Conditions. Check them out as you will be asked if you agree to them prior to submission.

The Tune In Not Out website contains a Virtual Production Studio and comments area. These are places for you to Share your Story on Tune In Not Out. The studio offers you the tools of audio, video, text or images to either share a story, pass on a tip, discuss a key messages about an issue, and to share these with other site visitors.

These posts are not a form of counselling. If you feel that you need professional help you may wish to consider contacting Lifeline (13 11 24) or Kids Helpline (freecall 1800 55 1800) for telephone based assistance or go the relevant topics page of this site and view the factsheet information.

Tune In Not Out aims to provide a safe environment for young people to obtain information and explore their experiences. Your submission will be reviewed by the Tune In Not Out moderation team who will decide whether it is appropriate to be posted. In general, submission are moderated and uploaded between 9am-5pm Monday to Friday, excluding public holidays, however at times longer delays may occur. Reasons for not posting a submission include, but are not limited to, contributions that contain:

    Graphic details about possible harm to yourself or others;
    Racist, sexist or discriminatory comments;
    Comments inciting hate or violence;
    Excessive swearing, sexual language or inappropriate language;
    Aggressive, abusive or defamatory comments;
    Views that are overly imposing or disrespectful of the views of others;
    Information about others when that other person has not yet consented to the publication or which we cannot verify as being true or which is not on the public interest to publish;
    Infringements of copyright, moral rights, confidentiality rights or intellectual property rights of any person, for example, by reproducing songs, poems, articles, logos, trade marks, pictures, photos, music or other material that is not owned by you (or which you do not have a license to reproduce on the site);
