For 4 months from Boxing Day, Frankston Waterfront will again be transformed as 3,500 tonnes of sand is carved into spectacular sand sculptures. This year, the team of talented International and Australian sculptors will bring to 'life' in meticulous detail "Story Land".

We invite you to immerse yourself into a world where reality and fantasy combine as we bring to life popular Penguin book titles including Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, The Mr. Men and Little Miss Books, Angry Birds, Postman Pat, Angelina Ballerina, Flower Fairies and so many more!

Integrated with the sculptures will Speed Carving Demonstrations, Sculptors Tours and Talks, along with a range of children's activities including Sand Sculpting Workshops, Sand Art, Sand Bottles, Sand Pens, Sand Diggers, our Giant Sand Pit, Children's Activity Sheet, Lego Play Zone and the Channel 9 Summer Chill Zone. Plus on weekends and school holidays, there will be roving entertainment and face painting.

This museum is situated in an old plumbing station and is simply brilliant. It is dynamic and interactive and a must for children who are inquisitive especially in matters relating to science and technology.

The museum collection objects are combined with hands-on exhibits so you can test your reflexes, jumping and kicking abilities and are designed to be explored. Amazingly the exhibits continuously changes so repeat visits never get repetitive. Scienceworks makes learning about science and technology a fun, interactive adventure...So much so our kids never want to leave!

Three years in the making, Great White Shark takes viewers around the world to great white hotspots: the crystal clear waters of Mexico’s legendary Guadalupe Island; newly-discovered shark territory around Stewart Island off the southernmost tip of New Zealand; the bone-chilling waters of South Africa’s “flying” great whites; and finally to the California coast near heavily-populated Los Angeles. The film examines what we know about these incredible animals through the eyes of several people whose lives and work have become inextricably linked to the great white.   Using revolutionary high-speed, digital IMAX cameras in South Africa, filmmakers captured the great white breaching for the first time in 3D.
