Two double passes to Eyes to the Sky @ Transit Bar, Sat Dec 7 (http://static.bmamag.com/photologue/photos/431_img/cache/GIVEAWAY-Eyes-Sky_article_size_4.jpg) Say the band, ‘We are five guys from Canberra who got together and started jamming in 2010. We never had any goals as a band or discussed how we wanted to sound. We started playing and whatever came out we went with. After a while, a rough sound started to take shape and in July 2011 and we played our first local gig as Eyes to the Sky. We’ve since played over 10 shows ranging from headline slots, supports, festivals and house parties. We’ve played at most live music venues in Canberra including The Basement, Transit Bar, The Southern Cross Club, PJ O’Reilly’s and the now defunct Maram. We’ve played with local bands Tonk, Na Maza, Knights of the Spatchcock, Johnny Roadkill, Wretch, Mandala, Final Lies and touring acts such as Mortal Sin, Nmemic, Scaramouche and Delinquent. ‘In April 2012 we recorded a three song EP at Keysound studios with Aussie rock legend Lucius Borich (Cog, Floating Me). The EP was mastered later in 2012 in LA by noted engineer Maor Applebaum (Cog, Sepultura, Cynic). ‘In January 2013 the EP was launched to a packed house at Canberra’s Transit Bar. The launch confirmed Eyes to the Sky’s status as one of Canberra’s most popular and exciting live bands.’ If you’d like a double pass to the show, email allan@bmamag.com and tell him what you could die happy having seen fly through the air when you looked to the sky one day.
