COMPETITION: Roll on up IN TOWN: Webers Circus is coming to Port Stephens this month. ONE of Australia's favourite circus troops set up camp in Raymond Terrace this week ready to start their summer season with a bang tonight. Webers Circus will perform for the Port for the second time after its tricks were well received by audiences two years ago. See your ad here Circus dog trainer Natalie Weber said the troop had 25 performers from Australia, New Zealand, Colombia and Germany and their broad skills would keep the audience on their toes. "We don't have any long, drawn out acts, which keeps kids entertained," she said. The show runs for just under two hours in which time audiences can expect to witness daring acts performed 10 metres in the air including the wheel of death and the Russian swing. While the name of some acts might sound frightening, Weber said Webers Circus was a family-friendly show. Weber, who was born into a circus family, started Webers Circus eight years ago with her own family of circus performers. She said her family and troop were on the road 48 weeks a year and they enjoyed the lifestyle and looked forward to performing in Port Stephens again. The circus will put on 13 shows starting tonight at 7pm and will run until February 2. The venue is the Raymond Terrace Sports Ground on Adelaide Street behind MarketPlace shopping centre.
