When con artist Chester MacFarland (Viggo Mortensen) mistakenly kills a detective – who has tracked him down from the United States to Greece – Chester escapes to Turkey, bringing his wife (Kirsten Dunst) and the trusting young man (Oscar Isaac) along with him. Adapted from the novel of the same name by Patricia Highsmith, the film marks Hossein Amini’s directorial debut.
