Struggling with writer’s block, Bishop opts for a “geographic cure” and travels from New York to Rio de Janeiro to visit her college friend, Mary (Tracy Middendorf). There Bishop meets Mary’s partner, Lota, and the two women become embroiled in a tempestuous relationship that will span decades. Directed by Bruno Barreto the film is a moving story of love and loss set amidst the glorious Brazilian landscape during the 1950s, a time of political upheaval and change. Only 1 entry is permitted per email address. Any additional entries will not be accepted. 5. The competition closes on the date indicated on the competition page. Entries received after the closing date will not be accepted. 6. The winner/s will be drawn randomly from all eligible entries. 7. The winning entrant/s will be notified by email. 8. Results will not be published. 9. QPAC does not take any responsibility for any lost, damaged, or misdirected entry forms. 10.
