The Good Food and Wine Show is just a few weeks out and with local farmers, producers and winemakers pooling their talents for the event, you better ready your taste buds.

The show, to be held at Brisbane’s Convention and Exhibition Centre over three days (October 17-19), will be taking a step back to enjoy life’s simple pleasures. Regional producers from around Queensland will be there with local wine labels not available in the average bottle shop, and the finest food artisans will be there for a treat and a chat.

Aside from all things edible, a host of chefs and TV personalities will be around for talks and demonstrations, including Alastair McLeod, Matt Golinski, Matt Moran, Miguel Maestre, Maggie Beer and Matt Stone. While tickets to enter the event cost $26.00, the celebrity chef sessions are free, but seats are limited.

This year, Maggie Beer’s cooking demonstration will focus on what’s good for seniors – namely, ‘brain food’. It will help raise awareness of Beer’s brand new foundation aimed at improving the availability of good food in aged care facilities and research into beneficial food.
