1. What are the Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards?

Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards are fun collectible cards which contain interesting visuals and facts about the world’s super animals. There are 108 cards to collect from Woolworths stores or Woolworths Online.

The Super Animals Sound Cards feature a special unique barcode which when scanned through the Super Animals Sound Card Reader (sold separately for $6 each) plays the sound of the animal on that card.

2. Why are you launching another collectibles program?

Our customers tell us that shopping with children can be challenging, and with Collectibles we have an opportunity to provide a program that will engage parents and kids alike. We understand parent and guardians challenges at the supermarket and strive to offer solutions to make life easier.

Collecting is a positive activity, it’s fun and encourages both playing and sharing with other children. The Super Animals are a fun way for children to learn about the world’s super animals and their amazing features.

3. Why was this chosen as the next Collectibles rendition?

Woolworths has partnered with Taronga Conservation Society Australia to create a fun and engaging way to educate kids about some of the amazing animals that we share this planet with. The collectibles program is a fun and interactive way to do this.

4. How will customers and their kids benefit from collecting the Super Animals Sound Cards?

Super Animals provides a safe and fun playful activity for Australian kids to enjoy hours of fun collecting with their friends and family. The Super Animals are a fun way for children to learn about the world’s super animals and their amazing features.

The Super Animals cards are suitable for all but are ideally suited for children from 3-10 years old.

6. How do I collect the Super Animals Sound Cards?

For every $20 spent in store or online, Woolworths customers will receive 1 pack of 4 FREE Super Animals Sound Cards.

7. When can I start collecting Super Animals Sound Cards?

You can start to collect your Super Animals Sound Cards from Woolworths supermarkets or Woolworths Online between 5th November and 9th December 2014 (or while stocks last).

8. How many Super Animals Sound Cards are there to collect?


There are 108 Super Animals Sound Cards to collect.

9. How long will the cards be available for?

Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards will be available for five weeks (while stocks last), arriving in all Woolworths stores nationally from Wednesday 5 November 2014 until Tuesday 9 December 2014 or while stocks last.

10. Can I get the Super Animals Sound Cards from other Woolworths Group Outlets?

Unfortunately purchases at other Woolworths Group outlets (inc. Petrol) will not be counted towards the promotion.

11. Can I get the Super Animals Sound Cards with purchases of gift cards, liquor or tobacco?

Due to legal restrictions, any gift card, liquor or tobacco items in the transaction will not count towards the $20 threshold.

12. How do I keep my Super Animals Sound Cards organised?

There will be a Super Animals Activity & Collector’s Album or a Super Animals Collector’s Tin to buy in Woolworth’s stores or through Woolworths Online. Be quick though as they may sell out.

The Super Animals Activity & Collector’s Album will cost $5 each. Fifty cents from every album sold is donated to Taronga Conservation Society Australia to support their work in conservation. The Super Animals Collector’s Tin will cost $2 each.

13. Are there any other items to collect other than the Super Animals Sound Cards?

There is a collection of Super Animals Sound Card Readers available to buy at Woolworths for $6 each. There are four different ones to choose from, including a lion, tiger, monkey and frog. You can use these sound card readers to hear the calls of the animals on the sound cards.

There will also be an Activity & Collector’s Album ($5 each) to keep all your Sound Cards in. The album features interesting facts about different super animals and a range of fun games and activities. Fifty cents from every album sold is donated to Taronga Conservation Society Australia to support their work in conservation.

Plus, you can buy the Super Animals Colouring & Activity Book ($3 each), Collector’s Tin ($2 each), Height Chart ($3 each), Melamine Plates & Bowls ($3 each) and Tumblers ($2 each).

14. What happens if I have uncompleted albums at the end of the program?

Super Animals Sound Cards are designed to be shared and swapped amongst friends. The Collectibles Swap Day at your local Woolworths store will provide a fun and safe environment where Collectors can trade cards to work towards completing their set of 108 cards. A Swap Day will be held Saturday 6th December from 10am – 2pm in all stores.

To help you collect the whole set, we've also created the Super Animals SwapZone on our Facebook Page. The SwapZone will help you share customised posts with your Facebook friends, so you can swap your way to a complete collection.

15. Are you planning on extending the program?

No, the program will run for 5 weeks and come to an end on 9th December (while stocks last).

16. Is there a limit of purchase per customer?

There are no set limits on purchasing the Super Animals merchandise in store. Online purchase limits of 5 albums per order apply.

17. Do I have to buy the Super Animals Sound Card Reader to participate in this promotion?

The Sound Card Reader is designed as an enjoyable way to hear the calls of the animals featured on the Sound Cards. However, you can still enjoy the fun facts and activities without the Sound Card Reader.

18. Can I pay for more cards?

For every $20 spent in store or online, Woolworth’s customers will receive 1 FREE pack of 4 Super Animals Sound Cards. You will not be able to directly purchase the cards.

19. How long will the Sound Card Reader last?

The Sound Card Reader can last for approximately 5,000 Sound Card swipes with normal use. The batteries can be replaced if they run out (please refer to packaging for instructions on how to replace the batteries).

20. What happens if children accumulate doubles of the Super Animals Sound Cards?

Woolworths will be hosting a Swap Day at Woolworths stores so you can trade your spare cards and work towards completing your collection of 108 cards. The Swap Day will be held Saturday 6th December from 10 – 2pm in all stores.

To help you collect the whole set, we've also created the Super Animals SwapZone on our Facebook Page. The SwapZone will help you share customised posts with your Facebook friends, so you can swap your way to a complete collection.

21. What is the Collectibles Swap Day?

The Super Animals Swap Day will facilitate collectors coming together in a fun and safe environment where they can trade cards with each other to work towards completing their collection of 108 cards.

22. When is the Swap Day taking place?

A Swap Day will be held at all stores nationally on Saturday 6th December from 10am – 2pm.

23. How do Swap Days work?

Simply head into your local store on our Swap Day with your Super Animals Sound Cards. You can swap your doubles with other customers for the cards you need.

24. I missed the Swap Day at my local store, what can I do?

You can also go to our Facebook page and swap your cards through our SwapZone App.

25. What is the SwapZone app?

To help you collect the whole set, we've created the Super Animals SwapZone on our Facebook Page. The SwapZone will help you share customised posts with your Facebook friends, so you can swap your way to a complete collection. It's easy and fun to do!

26. I am concerned you are directing children online on to Facebook to use your SwapZone app.

The Super Animals SwapZone on Facebook is designed for parents to assist their children in completing their card collection. Parents can use the zone to swap and share cards privately amongst their Facebook friend network.

27. I haven't completed my DreamWorks Heroes or Aussie Animals (1 or 1.5) collection, can I get those cards instead?

Unfortunately the DreamWorks Action and Aussie Animals promotions are over and these cards are no longer available.

But our Super Animals Sound Cards are now available. There are 108 unique cards to collect and a fun and educational album to organise and display your cards plus an exciting Sound Card Reader to hear the animals’ calls.

28. Is there a way to get extra Super Animals Sound Cards without spending more money?

Throughout the five weeks customers can purchase selected products promoted in store and online to receive a BONUS pack of cards for each product they buy.

30. What are you donating to Taronga Conservation Society and why?

For every Super Animals Activity & Collector’s Album sold, fifty cents is donated to Taronga Conservation Society Australia to help support vital programs that look after the world’s super animals.

31. I heard that if you collect the set of Super Animals Sound Cards you can get free entry into the zoo. When do you have to go to the zoo by to take advantage of that deal?

Customers can receive a FREE child entry when a completed Super Animals Activity & Collector’s Album is presented at the ticket desk at Taronga Zoo Sydney or Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo until 30 June 2015. Album must have all 108 Super Animals Sound Cards presented in the album.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. Information on how to receive Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards form part of these Terms and Conditions. Any person not complying with these Terms and Conditions is ineligible to receive Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards. Participation in this promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards

2. Woolworths customers will be eligible to receive one (1) pack of four (4) Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards at the point of sale for every $20 spent at participating Woolworths supermarkets or Woolworths Online. There are one hundred and eight (108) unique Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards to collect. The award of Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards is subject to stock availability.

3. Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards will be made available between 5 November and 9 December 2014 (Promotional Period) at participating Woolworths supermarkets or Woolworths Online. Purchases at other Woolworths group outlets will not be counted towards the promotion.

4. In addition to Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards made available to customers under clause 2, customers will be eligible to receive bonus Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards when they make specific purchases at participating Woolworths supermarkets or Woolworths Online during the Promotional Period. Customers will be eligible to receive one (1) bonus pack of four (4) Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards for every product purchased from one of the participating brands listed below.

9. Woolworths reserves the right, at its discretion, to introduce further Participating Brands and products during the Promotional Period that will entitle customers to bonus Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards upon purchase.

10. If more than one Participating Brand item is purchased in a single transaction at a participating Woolworths supermarket or on Woolworths Online, customers will be entitled to one (1) pack of four (4) bonus Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards for each Participating Brand purchased.
For example, if a customer purchases three (3) Wonder products in a single transaction between 5 November 2014 & 18 November 2014, that customer will be entitled to collect three (3) packs of four (4) bonus Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards.
The abovementioned three (3) packs of four (4) bonus Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards will be in addition to any Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards that the customer is eligible to receive for every $20 spent at participating Woolworths supermarkets or Woolworths Online.

11. Customers will receive one (1) free child admission ticket to Taronga Zoo Sydney or Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo when they present the 108 unique Super Animals Sound Cards in an official Super Animals Activity & Collector's Album (available for purchase at participating Woolworths stores) to the ticket desk at Taronga Zoo Sydney or Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo.
One free child admission ticket can only be redeemed when a full price adult admission ticket is purchased, upon presentation of a completed Super Animals Activity & Collector's Album. Paying adult must be in attendance for offer to be redeemed, a child will not be allowed to enter the Zoo unaccompanied. Strictly only one free child admission ticket is redeemable per valid completed Super Animals Activity & Collector's Album, with a purchased adult admission ticket (no multiple redemptions). Tickets must be redeemed at the Taronga Zoo Sydney or Taronga Western Plains Zoo Dubbo ticket desk. Offer not valid for online ticket purchases, with any other promotional Zoo offer including, but not limited to, other concession or discounted tickets/vouchers, Mates Rates tickets, pre-paid tickets, family tickets, and transport passes including ZooPass and Ferry passes. Not redeemable or transferable for cash. Valid between 5 November 2014 and 30 June 2015.

12. The sale of tobacco and liquor products and gift cards will not be eligible for the promotion. Consequently, when determining whether a customer has spent $20 in a single transaction, tobacco and liquor products and gift cards will not be included in the calculation of the customer’s total spend.

13. If Woolworths forms the view in its sole discretion that customers have not complied with these Terms and Conditions, Woolworths reserves the right to withhold Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards from that customer. Woolworths or its nominee's decision is final. Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards cannot be redeemed for cash.

14. If this promotion is not capable of running as planned for any reason beyond the reasonable control of Woolworths, including but not limited to, infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, acts or omissions of third parties, technical failures or anything which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, Woolworths reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion. SwapZone.

15. SwapZone is an application that can be accessed via the Woolworths Facebook page (‘SwapZone App’). It provides a forum for customers to trade their Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards with other customers, in order to help customers collect all one hundred and eight (108) unique Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards. Customers can display the Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards they have in their possession and start a dialogue with other SwapZone App users to identify what Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards they have to swap and/or would like to obtain.

16. By accessing and using the SwapZone App customers are deemed to have accepted the following terms and conditions.

17. Customers will have the opportunity to trade their Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards with others by accessing the SwapZone App for the period between 5 November and 9 December 2014. In order to access and use the SwapZone App, a customer must: (a) be over 18 years old; (b) have a Facebook account; (c) “Like” the Woolworths Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/woolworths; and (d) create a SwapZone App profile. Woolworths will use a customer’s Facebook profile name for the purposes of facilitating and managing the SwapZone App including checking a customer’s age.

18. Information or content published on Facebook in public forums may be accessible by all individuals, including people on or off Facebook, and can be associated with the user (ie, name and profile picture). To the extent that SwapZone App users exchange personal details (eg, names, phone numbers or locations) to facilitate swapping Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards, Woolworths encourages and recommends users to use private messages rather than public forums.

19. SwapZone App users have the option of including their Everyday Rewards card number (EDR Card Number) in their SwapZone App profile. An EDR Card Number can be entered in by a user only when setting up a SwapZone App profile. SwapZone App users who include their EDR Card Number in their SwapZone App profile will be able to “boost” their SwapZone App profile. This means that when other users search for a particular Woolworths Super Animals Sound Card in the SwapZone App, a user who has included their EDR Card Number in their SwapZone App profile, will be listed higher in the search results than users who have the same number of Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards but have not included their EDR Card Number in their SwapZone App profiles.

20. SwapZone App users shall be solely responsible for their own content submitted on the SwapZone App, and as a consequence, all user submitted content does not represent the views or opinions of Woolworths, and Woolworths makes no representations as to the validity, accuracy or completeness of any user posted content or other content available on the SwapZone App.

21. Information provided by users of the SwapZone App may contain links to third party websites that are not owned or controlled by Woolworths. Woolworths has no control over and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party websites. By using the SwapZone App, users expressly acknowledge and agree that Woolworths shall not be responsible for any damages, claims or other liability arising or related to use of any third party website.

22. Woolworths, in its sole discretion, may remove content from the SwapZone App that is offensive, unlawful, obscene, threatening, harassing or otherwise inappropriate.

Swap Days

23. Swap days will be held in participating Woolworths supermarkets to provide a forum for customers to trade their Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards with other customers, in order to help customers collect all one hundred and eight (108) unique Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards. Attendees and participants in a Swap day shall be solely responsible for their actions in relation to the Swap day(s). Woolworths shall not be responsible for any damages, claims or other liability arising from or related to a person’s attendance at or participation in a swap day.

24. Without limiting clause 22, Woolworths, in its sole discretion, may have attendees removed from its premises who act in a manner that is offensive, unlawful, obscene, threatening, harassing or otherwise inappropriate and reserves the right to withhold Woolworths Super Animals Sound Cards from that customer and/or prevent them from attending any other swap days.

General

25. Woolworths may collect and use technical data and related information, including but not limited to technical information about your device, system and application software and peripherals, that is gathered periodically to facilitate the provision of software updates, product support and other services to you related to the App.

26. Certain legislation may imply warranties or conditions or impose other obligations including statutory consumer guarantees which cannot be excluded, restricted or modified except to a limited extent. To the extent permitted by law, Woolworths excludes all guarantees, warranties, conditions or other terms that apply under or are implied by statute, common law or trade custom or usage except as set out in these Terms and Conditions.

27. If in the conduct of this promotion, Woolworths is liable for a breach of any guarantee, warranty, condition or other term that applies under the Australian Consumer Law or is implied by any other Commonwealth, State or Territory law that cannot be excluded, Woolworths’ liability under that legislation is limited, to the extent permitted by law, to the cost of replacement of any benefit provided.

28. To the extent that Woolworths is collecting or accessing any personal information as part of this promotion, such information will be treated in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and Woolworths’ privacy policy which is available at Woolworths’ website at www.woolworths.com.au.
