Seeking to move and actively engage audiences on human rights issues, the Human Rights Arts & Film Festival (HRAFF) will return to Canberra as part of its national tour this year with an impressive line up of film highlights from its festival program. Abundance is the success story of the human species, but how much food do we actually waste? Canadian food lovers, Jen and Grant, dumpster-dive head first into the issue of consumption and wastage, by surviving solely on food waste for six months. Deliciously entertaining and deeply shocking, the film examines the way we grow, cultivate and purchase our food, and how the food we throw away is having a devastating effect on the earth. In a nation where one in ten people is food insecure, Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story, reminds us that the revolution starts at home. To win a double pass to Just Eat It: A Food Waste Story give us a kitchen tip by emailing allan@bmamag.com.

The Festival runs in Canberra at Palace Electric from 22-25 May. For more information visit hraff.org.au
