Imagine settling in on the verandah with attentive staff guiding you through the wines at your own pace, with a gourmet platter of local produce on hand. And then there's the view across the vineyards to complete the picture! Just over an hour from Adelaide is the village of Greenock, on the western edge of the famous Barossa Valley and here you'll find Murray Street Vineyards. Joining its wines on the awards list is the cellar door, being named in 2015 as the number one destination in the Barossa by Trip Advisor. Surrounded by a stunning landscape and offering spectacular views of sloping vineyards, it's the perfect location for relaxing and sipping on wine. Here, tasting wine is a personal affair. With gentle guidance from Murray Street Vineyard’s knowledgeable staff, you taste the best wines whilst sitting in comfort in the tasting room or outside on the verandah looking across the vineyards.The wine is presented in large glassware, designed to bring out best of the wines and gourmet platters featuring local produce are also available to accompany the tasting. The winery is family friendly too. The kids have their own space to run around and play while the parents sit back and enjoy the moment or perhaps take the opportunity to visit the Barrel Hall for a personalised barrel tasting. With the warmer months upon us, new releases of lighter wines such as the White Label Rosé and Viognier are a must try along with Murray Street Vineyard’s impressive full bodied, ready to drink reds and red blends.
