(http://pba.slwa.wa.gov.au/__data/assets/image/0010/12322/govslwalogo.png) The Premier’s Book Awards are an important and integral part of the State’s cultural activity which honours Western Australian and Australian writing. Entries for the 2016 Awards are now open via the Online Entry Form. All entries must meet the Conditions of Entry in order to be eligible for assessment in these awards. The closing date for entries is 5pm Friday 29 January 2016. No entries will be considered after this date. There is no manual entry form, all entries must use the Online Entry Form. The categories and awards include: State Library of Western Australia West Australian History Western Australian Emerging Writers Children's Books Fiction Non-fiction Poetry Scripts Writing for Young Adults Digital Narrative The public will be invited to vote on their favourite book out of those shortlisted in the Fiction category only. The ‘People’s Choice Award’ will be awarded to the author of the title which receives the most votes. The Premier's Prize of $25,000 will be presented to an overall winner, chosen by the judges from the category winners. |
