Directed by Stephen Gaghan, the film is a riveting drama inspired by the true events of the ‘90s Bre-X Mineral Corporation scandal. Gold is the epic tale of one man’s pursuit of the American dream, to discover gold. Kenny Wells (McConaughey) is a modern day prospector, desperate for a lucky break who teams up with a similarly eager geologist (Édgar Ramírez) to find gold deep in the uncharted jungle of Indonesia.
