Transport behaviour survey 2017 – win prizes!

Posted 27 March 2017 at 1:16pm
If you’re a student or staff member at the University, you’re invited to take part in the University’s travel behaviour survey. Survey respondents can enter the draw to win great prizes!

Your participation will help your university improve its transport outcomes and will give you the chance to win one of five $200 vouchers (one prize each for Cradle Coast, Hobart CBD, Newnham/Inveresk, Sandy Bay/Taroona, and Sydney campuses). Winners will have the choice of:

a $200 Co-op Bookshop voucher
a $200 Source Wholefoods voucher (Hobart only)
a $200 worth of Metro Greencard credit or Opal credit
a $200 voucher for a bike or athletic shoe shop in your area.
Completion of this anonymous online survey will take approximately 10-20 minutes and can be accessed between 27 March and 9 April 2017. If you’re a student, please check your email inbox for the survey link (emailed 27 March); if you’re a staff member, go to the staff intranet (staff access only) for the link.

Following on from the success of the 2013 and 2015 travel behaviour surveys, the 2017 survey aims to identify current travel behaviour trends, particularly in relation to successes in increasing use of sustainable modes of travel as a result of implementation of the University’s Sustainable Transport Strategy.

This information will be used to inform and monitor the success of University transport and facilities planning and identify emerging issues over time for the benefit of University students and staff. Findings from the survey also help to inform other government agencies involved in planning and transport service provision in areas in which our campuses are located.

The survey is being conducted by Mr Corey Peterson (Sustainability Manager) and Dr Anna Lyth (RED Sustainability Consultants), with the assistance of Dr Carmen Primo-Perez and Mr Kamal Singh (Sustainability Officers).
