1 Competition Overview:

2 Entry Details
2.1 River 94.9 FM will invite listeners to participate in the Competition from Monday 4
September to Thursday 14 September 2017 unless extended or withdrawn earlier by River
94.9 FM in its absolute discretion subject to QLD Legislation. Entries are taken via phone by
listening for when River 94.9 solicits for people to call across the active competition dates.
Entries will also be taken via the River 94.9’s Powered Up competition page on
river949.com. To be eligible to enter, entrants must own their own home or have their
owned home occupied and their property must be within 100km of Ipswich CBD. 2.2 If in
the course of the Competition: (a) a telephone line breaks up or drops out or otherwise fails;
or (b) there is a dispute arising out of the use of telephone lines (including situations where
multiple telephone lines are used); or c) River 94.9 FM is effected by technical difficulties i.e.
transmission failure. 2.3 If an event described in paragraphs (a), (b) and (c) in clause 2.2
above occurs: (a) the Company will not be responsible for awarding a prize to the relevant
contestant or contestants; (b) The decision of the Company will be final and conclusive and
no discussion or correspondence will be entered into. 2.4 Once a contestant has secured
their place in the major draw as a result of playing “River 94.9’s Powered Up” competition,
they may not win another place in the major draw. 2.5 River 94.9 FM, its agencies, affiliates,
sponsors, representatives and their families are not eligible to enter “River 94.9’s Powered
Up” competition. 2.6 By participating in this Competition, the Contestant agrees to be
bound by the terms of these Specific Competition Rules and River 94.9 FM’s General
Competition Rules.
3 Details of Competition
3.1 A minimum of thirty (30) with a maximum of sixty (60) entrants will be advised by a River
94.9 announcer or the River 94.9 Promotions Manager between Monday 4 September to
Thursday 14 September 2017 that they have secured their place in the major draw to win

‘River 94.9’s Powered Up’. If an entrant who has secured their place in the major draw on
air is unable to attend the major draw, they must notify River 94.9 FM’s Promotions
Manager via phone or email by no later than Tuesday 12 September 2017 if they wish to
have someone represent them in their place on Thursday 14 September 2017. The person
chosen to represent you in the major draw must be over the age of eighteen (18). 3.2 The
one (1) major winner will be announced throughout the River 94.9 outside broadcast at
Haymans Electrical & Data Supplies & Greentech Ipswich on Pound Street West Ipswich on
Thursday 14 September 2017. If an entrant in the major draw does not register with the
River 94.9 FM team on site between 4:30pm and 5:10pm, prior to registrations closing on
the afternoon of Thursday 14 September 2017, or stay on site until the major winner is
deemed/announced by 6:00pm, they will forfeit their spot in the major draw. All entrants
for River 94.9’s must be over the age of eighteen (18) to be eligible to enter and bring a
current drivers licence/photo ID with them to the major draw to show upon registration. 3.3
The major draw will be conducted using a style of a ‘lottery ball machine’. Each contestant
will be allocated a numbered ball upon registration on Thursday 14 September 2017. The
number of the ball allocated to each contestant will be in accordance with the time they
were allocated their place in the major draw. For example, the first person that was notified
to secure their place in the Powered Up major draw either by entering on air or via
river949.com will be allocated ball number one (1), the second person that was notified to
secure their place in the Powered Up major draw either by entering on air or via
river949.com will be allocated ball number two (2) and so forth. In the 5pm hour, once
registrations have closed, the numbered balls of all contestants who have registered with
the River 94.9 FM team on site will be placed into the lottery ball machine’. The major draw
will then begin. At this time, a representative from River 94.9 FM, the crowd and/or
Haymans Electrical & Data Supplies/Greentech Ipswich will be selected to begin drawing
one (1) numbered ball out of the ‘lottery ball machine’ at a time. Each time a numbered ball
is drawn out of the ‘lottery ball machine’ the contestant that has been allocated that
numbered ball will be eliminated from the Powered Up major draw/competition. Numbered
balls will continue to be drawn out of the ‘lottery ball machine’ one (1) at a time, eliminating
one (1) contestant from the Powered Up major draw/competition at a time and will
continue to do so until there is one (1) numbered ball remaining in the ‘lottery ball
machine’. The contestant that has been allocated the one (1) remaining numbered ball with
the ‘lottery ball machine’ will be announced as the major winner of River 94.9’s Powered Up
competition and win the one (1) major prize outlined in section four (4) of this document,
‘River 94.9’s Powered Up terms and conditions’. 3.4 All prizes are accepted entirely at the
risk of the winner, and River 94.9 FM excludes all warranties in connection with any prize
(including representations as to merchantability and fitness for purposes) to the extent
permitted by law. 3.5 To the extent permitted by law, River 94.9 FM, its agencies, affiliates,
sponsors and representatives are not responsible for defective prizes or misuse of any prize,
or for any claims, liability, loss or damage (whether foreseeable or not) arising out of or in
connection with this Competition, whether caused by the negligence of any of the
aforementioned or not. 3.6 Contestants are responsible for any and all taxes payable as a
result of a prize being awarded or received.

4.1 There is one (1) major prize which includes one (1) 3kw solar array with a 4kw Schneider
inverter. The one (1) major prize needs to be installed within 90 days from major draw date,
14 September 2017 and is subject to Energex approval. Greentech will submit the required
application to Energex on the major winner’s behalf. The major prize is subject to the major
winner’s switchboard being compliant with current standards and must include circuit
breakers and meter isolation link. 4.2 Employees of River 94.9 FM, Haymans Electrical &
Data Supplies & Greentech Ipswich are not eligible to enter in the Competition. 4.3 All other
costs, fees and charges, taxes and any other fees, including additional installation fees etc.
associated with the major prize are the responsibility of the major prize winner.
5 River 94.9 FM’s Decision is Final
5.1 River 94.9 FM’s decision in respect of the selection of the Contestants is binding and
conclusive and will not be challenged on the grounds that River 94.9 FM failed to act
reasonably, fairly, in good faith or otherwise in accordance with the principles of procedural
fairness. River 94.9 FM’s decision will remain binding and conclusive notwithstanding that it
can be demonstrated that River 94.9 FM made a decision that was wrong, based on a
factual error or an irrelevant or irrational consideration. It is not River 94.9 FM’s policy to
enter into negotiations with contestants who challenge a decision made by River 94.9 FM.
6 Promotional Activities
6.1 Each participant acknowledges and agrees that: (a) he or she may be required by River
94.9 FM or Haymans Electrical & Data Supplies or Greentech Ipswich in its absolute
discretion, to: (i) participate in promotional activities for the benefit of River 94.9 FM
(including participating in a sound recording, photograph, video or film session); and (ii) that
he or she will not, without the prior written consent of River 94.9 FM and/or Haymans
Electrical & Data Supplies & Greentech Ipswich (which may be given or withheld in its
absolute discretion) participate in any other media activities, promotions or events for the
purpose of or which involve discussion, commenting on, expressing a view or giving an
account of the Competition, River 94.9 FM, its related bodies corporate or the operations of
River 94.9 FM and its related bodies corporate; and (b) in promotional activities referred to
in condition 6.1 (a), (i) and (ii), above, express a positive view of River 94.9 FM, Haymans
Electrical & Data Supplies & Greentech Ipswich and their operations and refrain from
expressing a negative or disparaging view of River 94.9 FM, Haymans Electrical & Data
Supplies & Greentech Ipswich, their related bodies corporate or the operations of River 94.9
FM, Haymans Electrical & Data Supplies & Greentech Ipswich or their related bodies
corporate. 6.2 Each Contestant acknowledges and agrees that River 94.9 FM has the right to
use any materials generated in connection with a Contestant’s participation in the
Competition in any medium and in any manner it sees fit.
7 Notifications

7.1 Winners will be notified of their win (spot in the major draw) immediately on air or by
the River 94.9 FM Promotions Manager via phone if securing their spot in the major draw
between Monday 4 September and Thursday 14 September 2017.
8 Withdrawal
8.1 Notwithstanding any other condition of these Specific Competition Rules, River 94.9 FM
reserves the right to withdraw the Competition at any time and for any reason whatsoever
with the prior approval of the QLD Commission for Gambling Regulation. River 94.9 FM shall
not be liable in any way or for any consequence of withdrawing the Competition.
9 Privacy
9.1 Collection of personal details is governed by River 94.9 FM’s Privacy Policy, which can be
found online at the stations website www.river949.com.
10 Prize Terms and Conditions
10.1 The one (1) major winner must arrange their major prize to be installed at their
property with Haymans Electrical & Data Supplies & Greentech Ipswich within 90 days of the
major draw date, 14 September 2017 or they will forfeit their prize. The installation is
subject to Energex approval. Greentech will submit the required application to Energex on
the major winner’s behalf. The major prize is subject to the major winner’s switchboard
being compliant with current standards and must include circuit breakers and meter
isolation link. 10.2 No additional add ons or extras are included in the major prize and are
optional extras at the winner’s expense. 10.3 All other costs, fees and charges, taxes and
any other fees, including additional installation fees etc. associated with the major prize are
the responsibility of the major prize winner. 10.4 The one (1) major winner must own or
have their owned home occupied and their property must be within 100km of Ipswich CBD.
