The Best of Times Short Story Competition Spring 2017

What to enter

Humorous short stories (any theme) up to 2500 words.


Prizes

First prize: $300-$500 (depending on number of entries), second prize: $100.
Third place, highly commended and commended certificates will be awarded too.


Conditions of entry

You can enter as many times as you like.
Each story must be written in English and be your own original work.
Stories that have won a prize or certificate in a previous Best of Times competition are ineligible for entry.
You retain copyright and all rights to your work.


Postal entries

No entry form is required. Include a cover sheet with your name and address, story title and word count, and where you heard about the competition.
Don't include your name on the story itself.
Entry fee is $10 per story.
Send a cheque or money order made out to Chris Broadribb or use PayPal to pay cabbook-23@yahoo.com.au
Post your entry to PO Box 55, Blaxcell NSW 2142.
Include a large SSAE for a results sheet and return of your story, or a small SSAE for results only.


E-mailed entries

Please provide your name and address, story title and word count, and where you heard about the competition in the body of the email.
Don't include your name on the story itself.
Email your story as an attachment to cabbook-23@yahoo.com.au
Entry fee is $10 per story.

Results

If you want an electronic copy of the results and be notified of future Best of Times competitions, please provide your email address.
Winners will be notified by email or post before the end of Dec 2017.
The list of winners will be displayed on this webpage.
Winning stories will be published on this webpage where the authors agree.
