The Shabbat Project (TSP) is just a couple of weeks away, and to mark the occasion, the Sydney TSP team are holding a very special Kabbalat Shabbat Under The Stars on 27 October at two locations in Sydney’s east and south-east. The evening will promise plenty of music, activities, blessings, an uplifting service, and a Shabbat picnic to follow.

TSP is giving away a picnic hamper for six valued at $215, which includes a large picnic mat, table and two chairs, grape juice and kiddish cup, water, challot, hummus, BBQ chicken, various salads and dressings, and chocolate brownie.

* Please note that the winner of the picnic hamper, along with guests attending the event, must still register to attend Kabbalat Shabbat Under The Stars via The Shabbat Project’s website. Exact locations of the event will be announced at a later date.


Competition entries close on Friday, 20 Oct at noon.

This competition is open to Australian residents only. Employees of The Australian Jewish News and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. Competition entries close on  20 Oct 2017 at noon. The winners will be drawn at The AJN Melbourne office on 20 Oct 2017. The winners will be drawn randomly and contacted by email only, using the email registered by the winner. The AJN cannot be held responsible for entrants failing to check their email or providing incorrect information. Winners’ names and details may be passed on to the promoter for winners to redeem prizes. Please note that the prizes are only those mentioned in the competition notice and are non-exchangeable. Tickets are general admission only, and are not valid for opening or closing nights, or any other special events. Winners’ names will not be published due to privacy concerns, however, winners’ names will be kept on record at The Australian Jewish News Melbourne office. Unless otherwise notified, winners must must pick up their prize from the AJN offices, located at Level 1, 589 Glenhuntly Road, Elsternwick, Victoria or Level 1, 55 Grafton Street, Bondi Junction, NSW.
