While it’s not a good idea to try to touch a wild native animal, there are some wildlife encounters where you can pat kangaroos.
Of course, if you haven’t tried that before then maybe you should pick up a copy of That’s Not My Kangaroo, by Fiona Watt and illustrator Rachel Wells. The bright pictures and textures to stroke are designed to help develop sensory and language awareness. It’s out now in shops and, to celebrate, the Funday Telegraph has 15 copies to give away.
