AUSTRALIA DAY TIGER MOTH JOY FLIGHT GIVEAWAY PROMOTION 2021 COMPETITION TERMS AND CONDITIONS • The promoter of Australia Day Tiger Moth Joy Fight Giveaway is Maitland City Council, PO Box 220 MAITLAND NSW 2320. ABN: 11 596 310 805. • Persons who post still images online onto their public social media accounts (Facebook and Instagram) of the Tiger Moth flyovers scheduled to take place in Maitland during the Make It Maitland this Summer program and who use the hashtag #makeitmaitland will receive one (1) entry per post into Australia Day Tiger Moth Joy Flight Giveaway. • Subject to weather conditions and Air Traffic Control approval, The Make it Maitland this Summer Tiger Moth flyovers are scheduled to take place on the following dates and locations: ▪ Sunday 3 January 2021 - Tenambit, Morpeth, Berry Park, Duckenfield, Millers Forest, Chisholm, Thornton ▪ Sunday 10 January 2021 - Gillieston Heights, Louth Park, Ashtonfield, Metford ▪ Sunday 17 January 2021 - East Maitland, South Maitland, Lorn, Pitnacree, Raworth, Lorn, Largs, Bolwarra, Bolwarra Heights, Oakhampton, Oakhampton Heights, Aberglasslyn, Mindaribba, Woodville ▪ Sunday 24 January 2021 - Luskintyre, Oswald, Lochinvar, Windermere, Windella, Rutherford, Telarah, Farley, Bishops Bridge, Aberglasslyn, Rosebrook, Hillsborough. • The promotional period commences Sunday 3 January 2021 and closes at 12.00pm Sunday 24 January 2021. All photo entries must be posted on Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #makeitmaitland to be valid. • The winning photo will be selected by a representative of the Royal Newcastle Aero Club 604 New England Highway, Rutherford NSW 2320, ABN 79 000 021 045. • The winner will be notified by 10.00am Monday 25 January 2021 via social media .. The winner will have until 5.00pm Monday 25 January to claim their prize. • The major prize is a joy flight in a Tiger Moth, owned and operated by Royal Newcastle Aero Club 604 New England Highway, Rutherford NSW 2320. The maximum value of the joy flight is $420.00 and is non-refundable, non-transferable. • If the winner declines the prize or upon questioning does not meet any of the terms and conditions of this promotion, then a new prize winner will be drawn. • The joy flight giveaway must be taken on Australia Day (26 January 2021) and is subject to flying conditions and may vary slightly. Should flying conditions be deemed not suitable, Royal Newcastle Aero Club will endeavour to honour the joy flight on another date under mutual agreement. • Person participating in the Australia Day Joy Flights must: o Arrive at Royal Newcastle Aero Club 604 New England Highway, Rutherford by no later than 9.15am for a passenger briefing. The flight duration is from 10.00am to 10.30am, with expected finish time of 11.00am. o Wear enclosed shoes and dress according to weather conditions. Wind proof jacket is suggested but not essential. o Wear the google and headsets provided by RNAC. o Must weigh less than 105kg and be medically fit to participate in the flight and be agile enough to climb into the cockpit of the aircraft. o Be aware the aircraft has an open cockpit so flight will be loud and windy o Adhere to all of these conditions on the day or the prize will become invalid and no other winner will be chosen • Participants are unlimited in the amount of posts they can submit to enter the Australia Day Tiger Moth Joy Flight Giveaway. • Participants privacy will be protected in accordance with Maitland City Council’s Privacy Management Plan. • Any additional expenses for the joy flight will be at the cost of the winner. • The winners name will be published on the www.mymaitland.com.au website. • Entry into Australia Day Tiger Moth Joy Flight Giveaway is not open to the employees of Maitland City Council or their immediate family members, or any employees or immediate family members of Royal Newcastle Aero Club. • Immediate family members for the promotion is defined as Grandparents, Siblings, Parents, Partners, Children and Grandchildren. • Entry into the competition is only open to Australian residents aged 18 years and over. The promoter reserves the right to request the winner to provide proof of identity and residency. • If an entrant selected as a winner is found to be in breach of these terms and conditions, a new winner may be selected and, in the event that the entrant is in breach has been awarded the Prize, the entrant may be required to return the Prize or reimburse the value of the Prize to the Promoter. • If for any reason this competition is not capable of running as planned (including but not limited to) technical failures, weather conditions, unauthorised intervention, pandemic, natural disaster or security concerns, the promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the competition. • The promoter shall not be liable whether in contract or torts or otherwise for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for personal injury which is suffered or sustained, as a result of participating in this competition or accepting the nominated prize. • The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. |
