Terms and conditions: Deakin University Competition Draw - Terms and Conditions (T&Cs): The promoter of the Connect and Win Competition is: Deakin University ABN 56 721 584 203 of 1 Gheringhap Street, Geelong, Victoria, 3220 (Deakin). This competition is subject to the following trade promotion permit- SA Licence No. T21/1746. By submitting an entry, entrants agree to be bound by these T&C's and entries must comply with the T&C's to be valid. This competition is free to enter and is open to all persons over the age of 13 who reside in the Australian states of Victoria, New South Wales, South Australia and Tasmania only who complete all relevant details in the above registration form between 1 February 2022 and 30 November 2022 in the manner set out in these T&C's. Entrants may only enter this competition once. Late, incomplete, multiple entries or those with remarks deemed offensive will be invalid. Deakin accepts no responsibility for lost or misdirected entries. Employees of Deakin and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter this competition. This competition commences at 9.00am AEDT on 1 February 2022 and closes at 11.59pm AEDT on 30 November 2022. There will be one grand prize draw at the end of the year and smaller monthly prizes drawn at the conclusion of each month from February 2022 to November 2022. Entrants will be eligible for one monthly prize within the month they entered the competition draw as well as one grand prize at the end of the year. There are 100 monthly prizes in total, 10 allocated per month between February 2022 and November 2022. Prizes include Deakin merchandise chosen at the discretion of the competition organisers. The total monthly prize pool is valued at $4000 ($400 per month). Winners will be drawn randomly on the first Friday of each month to determine the winner of the previous month. Winners will be drawn by Deakin Marketing Division staff. There are 8 grand prizes in total, to be drawn in the following order: 1. An Apple MacBook Air, $1499; 2. One Apple AirPods Pro, $399; 3. An Apple Watch Series 7, $599; 4. One of three UE Boom speakers, $199 each; 5. One $2000 VISA Gift Card; 6. One $1000 VISA Gift Card. The total prize pool for the grand prizes is valued at $6096. 8 winners will be drawn randomly with prizes awarded in draw order. The grand prize draw will be conducted on 1 December 2022 at 10am at the offices of the Marketing Division at the Melbourne Burwood Campus, Burwood Highway Burwood Victoria. Winners will be drawn randomly by Deakin Marketing Division staff by physically drawing entries in the presence of an independent witness. Prizes are not transferrable and are not redeemable for an alternative prize. Entrants must complete the competition registration either in person at commercial expos, school visits, or Deakin events or online via deakin.edu.au/connect-and-win. Entrants must include their name, email address and mobile telephone number. By entering the competition entrants agree that they are over the age of 18 years, or if under the age of 18 years, have their parent's or legal guardian's consent to enter the competition. Monthly and grand prize winners will be notified by phone or email. If the winner of a grand prize does not claim the prize within 3 months of the date of the draw, a re-draw will be conducted on 1 March 2023. The details of the winners of the grand prizes will be published at deakin.edu.au/connect and win by 1 December 2022. If a winner of a monthly prize does not claim a prize within 20 days of Deakin attempting to notify them they will forfeit the prize and Deakin may conduct a re-draw for that prize. Deakin will send the prizes by post to an Australian address nominated by the winner. Deakin will not be liable for any loss or damage to the prize when it is in the possession of the postal service provider. Personal information provided to Deakin by entrants will be used to send entrants information about activities of Deakin and to conduct the draw, notify the winner and publish the winner's name. For these purposes Deakin may also provide this personal information to its consultants. You are not required to provide the information requested, however if the information is not provided, Deakin may not be able to provide you with information about activities at Deakin or to register you for the draw. Deakin manages personal information, including requests by individuals for access to their personal information, in accordance with the Privacy and Data Protection Act 2014 (Vic). Deakin's Privacy Policy is available from the Policy Library. Entrants consent to Deakin using their name, image or voice for promotional purposes. Entrants who win a prize agree to make themselves available for photograph and interview if requested by Deakin. Deakin's decisions on all aspects of this competition are final and binding and no correspondence will be entered into. Deakin reserves the right to cancel, delay or modify the competition or amend these T&C's at any time. Deakin accepts no responsibility and will not be liable to any extent for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property arising out of or in connection with the competition or the prizes, whether during or after the competition.
