One country. Countless stories. To be in to win, simply submit a photo or video of something you’ll only see or experience in the land Down Under. It could be anything, from a clip of a terrifying spider on your bedroom wall, a snap of you shopping in your budgie smugglers, footage of grandma playing backyard cricket to a kangaroo hopping down a suburban street. It’s these relatable moments and more – the things that make you stop and smile, the sights and experiences that can’t be seen anywhere else – that act like magic dust sprinkled across the fabric of our national identity. This is your chance to capture it, share it with the nation and win! Our celebrity judging panel will select one fair-dinkum winning entry and the winner plus three friends or family members will jet off to Sydney for a spectacular Australia Day 2023. If the judges love your entry, it may even be featured in the Australia Day Live concert, broadcast on ABC TV and iview on 26 January 2023. Ready to enter? Follow these steps Take a photo or video of something you’ll only see or experience in Australia. You might have something on file already OR you can capture something specially for the competition. Just make sure it’s your own material. View these handy hints and tips to ensure you’re on the right track. Submit your entry by filling in the entry form. If approved, your photo or video should appear in the Australia Day website gallery within two working days (we’ll give it a quick once-over first). The competition closes 11:59 pm AEDT on Thursday 15 December 2022. You can submit as many different entries as you like! Choosing the winner The judges will choose their favourite entry and the winner of the trip to Sydney for Australia Day will be announced on Thursday 22 December 2022 at 5:00 pm AEDT on the Australia Day website and social media channels. |
