The Sydney Ice Dogs are proud to announce Black Dog Institute as the Official Community Partner in 2023 to raise funds for mental health research. To celebrate the partnership, this June will be Black Dog Institute Month and the Sydney Ice Dogs will be rocking limited edition Black Dog Institute Home Alternate Jerseys for every home game in June. With no school or work on Monday, grab the family and your friends to come enjoy an ice hockey game on Sunday March 11 and help the Sydney Ice Dogs raise funds for an important cause! All games in June are in partnership with the Black Dog Institute with $5 from each Sydney Ice Dogs home game going to raise awareness and support for mental illness. Plus, all proceeds from the sale of Thunder Sticks and Black Dog Institute Official Ice Hockey Pucks. The Sydney Ice Dogs felt a partnership with a mental health organisation was important to drive awareness, while also providing the ice hockey community with the resources, education and platforms to promote positive mental health and support. Research shows every year one in five people in Australia will experience symptoms of mental illness but 60 per cent will not seek help.
