The 2023 North Melbourne Major Raffle will be conducted by North Melbourne Football Club Limited.  The benefitting organisation is  North Melbourne Football Club Limited (ABN 21 006 468 962 ). The benefitting organisation is a not-for-profit organisation.

Beneficiary

Net proceeds of the raffle will be in support of North Melbourne Football Club Limited.  The 2023 North Melbourne Major Raffle is a cornerstone of the Kangaroos fundraising program, with contributions directed towards all aspects of football operations, resourcing, talent retention and development of the club’s four teams – AFL, AFLW, VFL and VFLW.

The Raffle starts on Monday, 24 April.  The Raffle closes at Monday 24th July 10am (AEST). No entries will be accepted after this time.

Relevant States/Entry Restrictions

Entry is open to residents of the Australian Capital Territory, New South Wales, Victoria, Queensland, Northern Territory,  Tasmania, aged 18 years or older.

Maximum number of tickets

60,000 tickets are available for purchase at a cost of $5.00 each or $75.00 for 20 tickets.

Draw Details

Two separate draws for the Early Bird Prizes will be held at 2pm (AEST) on Monday 15 May 2023 and Monday 29 May 2023.

2023 North Melbourne Major Raffle draw will take place at 12:00 pm (AEST) on Monday, 24 July 2023 at North Melbourne Football Club, 204-206 Arden Street, North Melbourne, VIC 3051.

Draw Method

An electronic draw will be conducted .  First prize will be drawn first followed by all other prizing in descending order.

Notification and Publication of Winners

Winner will be contacted by phone and email within 2 business days and listed on this website and the North Melbourne Football Club website at www.nmfc.com.au from 12.00pm (AEST) on Wednesday, 26 July 2023.  Please check the websites for details.

Prize Claim Date

Winners have 3 months from the date of the draw in which to claim their prize, except if the winner is from the ACT.

If the winner resides in the ACT and they do not claim their prize by midnight on Thursday, 24 August 2023  a redraw/unclaimed prize draw will be held in the same manner as the original draw at 12pm AEST on Monday, 28 August 2023, at North Melbourne Football Club, 204-206 Arden Street, North Melbourne, VIC 3051. If the redraw winner does not claim their Prize within 12 months from the date they are notified in which to claim their prize, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize.

Unclaimed Prize Arrangements

If a Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Date or is deemed invalid in accordance with the Entry Restrictions, the Promoter reserves the right (subject to regulatory approval, if required) to sell that prize. Proceeds from such sale will be paid to the Promoter to be used for not-for-profit purposes.

Promoter/Recipient
1. The promoter of the Raffle and recipient of net proceeds of the Raffle is the North Melbourne Football Club
Ltd (the ‘Club’), ABN: 21 006 468 962.

TAS and NT: Permit not required due to valid permit in another State.
QLD: Permit not required. Limited to a maximum of 10,000 tickets in QLD.
Promotion Period
1. Opening date of ticket sales: 24/04/23

3. No entries will be accepted after 10.00am AEST on the closing date 24/07/23
Draw
1. The Major Raffle will be drawn at 12:00pm AEST on 24/07/23 via www.raffletix.com.au at:

2. Numbered ticket will be drawn automatically at random via www.raffletix.com.au. First prize will be
allocated to the first winner followed by all other prizes in descending order (for a complete list of prizes see
the Schedule of Prizes below).
3. Winners will be notified via email and phone, with the winner’s details to be displayed at www.nmfc.com.au
from 11.00am AEST on 26/07/23 if prize has been claimed.
4. Two separate draws for the Early Bird Prize will be held on the following dates at 2.00pm AEST 15/05/2023
and 29/05/2023.
5. No entries will be accepted after 12:00pm AEST on the above closing dates for the Early Bird Draws.
Tickets
1. A maximum number of 80,000 tickets are offered for sale in the Raffle.
2. Price per ticket: $5.00
3. Price per set of 20 tickets: $75.00
4. Price per set of 40 tickets: $150.00
5. Price per set of 80 tickets: $300.00
Entry
1. Entry is open to any member of the public in all states except for WA and SA. Participants do not need to be
a Club member or supporter to purchase a Raffle ticket.
2. Participants who purchase a ticket must complete the contact details section during the online purchase
process in full by providing their name, address, telephone number and email (if applicable) for their entry to
be eligible. Participants may purchase as many tickets as they like.
3. All ticket buyers that purchase prior to above scheduled Early Bird Draw close dates, will have tickets
entered into the Early Bird Prize Draw for the chance to win an Arden Street Inner Sanctum Tour or 2 x
places in the Guard of Honour Positions at a home match. The Early Bird Prize Draw will be conducted on the
dates specified above.
Prizes
1. Total maximum value of the prize pool (including Early Bird Draws) is: $55,424.00.
2. A complete list of prizes along with information on, and any additional terms and conditions applicable to,
each prize is contained in the Schedule of Prizes (below).
3. Prize values are accurate as at the commencement date of the promotion period.
4. All costs, fees, charges or expenses associated with the prize(s), which are not specified in the schedule are
the responsibility of the winner(s) including any relevant travel expenses.
5. Prizes are non-transferable, and unable to be exchanged, amended or redeemable for cash.
6. If for any reason a prize is not available, the Club will substitute another prize of equal or higher value (at the
Club’s discretion and subject to regulatory approval).
7. Prizes will be delivered during either 2023 or 2024 pending confirmation on the current fixture, matches and
dates.
Notification and publication of winners
1. The Club will attempt to notify all prize winners by telephone within 2 business days of being selected in the
draw.
2. Prize winners’ names will also be published on the club’s website nmfc.com.au on 26/07/2023.
Claiming prizes
1. All claimed prizes will be distributed to winner(s) within 28 days of the draw where possible.
2. At the time of notification or by subsequent communication to the Club, prize winner(s) can either elect to
have the prize posted or delivered to the winner(s)’ specified postal or delivery address or alternatively
collect the prize from:

1. If delivery via post is elected, the prize winner will be responsible for all the costs associated with delivery or
postage.
2. Once the prize has left the Club’s head offices, the Club takes no responsibility for any damage or delay or if
the prize is lost in transit.
3. Winner(s) have 12 months from the date of the draw in which to claim their prize, except if the winner is
from the ACT.
4. If the winner resides outside the ACT and they do not claim their prize within 12 months from the date of the
draw, a redraw will take place on Monday, 26 July 2024 at 2.00pm AEST at the address below. All tickets that
have been paid for will be entered into the redraw.

5. If the winner resides in the ACT and they do not claim their prize by midnight on Thursday, 24 August 2023, a

3051. The re-draw winner will then have 12 months to claim their prize.
6. If, after having made reasonable efforts, the Club is unable to contact a prize winner, or if a prize winner is
deemed ineligible to receive the prize, or if any prize is not accepted or claimed within the claim period, the
Club reserves the right to sell or otherwise dispose of the prize and retain the proceeds (subject to
regulatory approval if required).
7. All prize winner(s) are responsible for use of the prizes including complying with all relevant laws and any
applicable terms and conditions of use.
Use of personal information
1. By purchasing a raffle ticket in the draw, participants consent to the club collecting, retaining and using the
personal information provided by participants for the development of the Club.

General
1. These Terms and Conditions and the accompanying Schedule of Prizes form the conditions of entry for this
promotion and are governed by Victorian Law. By submitting an entry, participants agree to these
conditions of entry.
2. Any updates to these conditions of entry will be subject to regulatory approval and will be published on the
Club’s website.
3. It is the participant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter if their contact details change during the
promotion period.
4. The Club reserves the right to disqualify an entry in the event of non-compliance with these conditions of
entry or if, in the Club’s reasonable opinion, an entrant tampers or interferes with an entry mechanism in
any way.
5. If the Raffle cannot run as planned for reasons beyond the Club’s control, the Club reserves the right to
cancel, suspend or modify the Raffle (subject to regulatory approval). If the Club cancels the Raffle, the Club
will endeavour to notify and provide participants with the option of having payment refunded or donated to
the Club. If the Club suspends or modifies the Raffle, the Club reserves the right to determine how the
suspended or modified Raffle proceeds and prizes are awarded (again, subject to regulatory approval).
6. Images used by the Club throughout the books of Raffle tickets and/or as part of any additional promotional
or advertising materials are for illustration purposes only.
7. To the extent permitted by law, the Club will not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever (including
direct or consequential loss) or personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with or participation in
the Raffle. In addition, the Club accepts no responsibility for any tax liabilities that may arise from winning a
prize.
