Title: Win 1/10 platypus book prize packs - Sunday Telegraph - NSW Post by: culturebird on Sunday 17 September 2023, 06:30:47 am They're one of our most beloved - and unusual - animals. With a long bill, webbed, duck-like feet, flat tail and furry body, the platypus is an Australian icon.
But sadly, land clearing, dams and drought are destroying their habitat and placing them under threat. To mark Threatened Species Day, the Australian Geographic Society has teamed up with the Australian Conservation Foundation to help platpuses through the "Platy-project", which aims to protect them by recording sightings of where they live. You can do your bit by colouring-in the platypus picture to raise awareness about this important species and also go into the running to win one of 10 book prize packs. Ask your parent or guardian to take a photo of your work of art and email it to funday@sundaytelegraph.com.au. Please put "Platypus" in the subject and fill in the coupon with your details so we can contact you if you are a winner. It is also helpful to add your details at the top of the email as sometimes Harry finds it tricky to read handwriting. Entries must be in by Thursday so the winners can be published on the Health Hacked page in next week's Sunday Telegraph. Harry the Dog and the Funday team will only pick the 10 best entries to win the prize packs, so creative. |
