The show is based on the much-loved story by Rudyard Kipling, with one of the world’s leading choreographers Akram Khan now telling the tale through the eyes of a young climate refugee who has been driven from her homeland and arrives alone in a deserted modern city. Jungle Book reimagined follows the journey of Mowgli as she makes unlikely friends in a strange kind of jungle where wild animals claim the streets as their own. The show will be performed at the Adelaide Festival Centre on March 15-16, with each double pass valued at $258 – and a total prize pool valued at $3870.
