Pā‘ina Waikīkī Lū‘au – A Celebration at Waikīkī Beach Marriott

Pā‘ina Waikīkī, a unique dinner party luau where the vibrant stories of Waikīkī’s legendary eras come to life through festive mele (songs), hula and the highest caliber of Polynesian performing arts.

In the form of hula kahiko (ancient hula) we bring to life the stories of the elegant homes, lush natural beauty, and brilliant Hawaiian royals that once called these very grounds and Waikīkī home.

There will be a gift of hula honoring Hawai‘i’s beloved Queen Liliʻuokalani. A special acknowledgement for Hawai‘i’s last reigning monarch, who spent much of her time right here, where she had two beautiful summer homes. It is here that she would come to retreat, relax, and reflect.

Guests will be treated to traditional hula as well as new original mele composed just for Pā‘ina Waikīkī.

The competition is open to Australia and New Zealand residents only. Entrants must only enter in their own name and email address and agree to subscribe to the Explore Hawai‘i bi-monthly newsletter to be eligible. The Promoter reserves the right to request the winner provide proof of identity and age, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address and/or proof of entry validity (if required) in order to claim a prize. Proof of identification, residency and entry considered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter. In the event that a winner cannot provide suitable proof, the winner will forfeit the prize in whole and no substitute will be offered
The competition commences at 12.00am AEDST on 20 May, 2024 and closes at 11.59pm on 16 June 2024 AEDST
Entries must be received by 11.59pm on 16 June, 2024 AEDST. The time of entry will in each case be the time the entry is received by the Promoter’s database. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, lost or misdirected entries, including entries not received by the Promoter or delays in the delivery of the entry due to technical disruptions, network congestion or for any other reason
Entry into the Promotion constitutes acknowledgement and acceptance of these terms and conditions. Information on how to enter, all entry instructions, advertising material and prize information published by the Promoter form part of these terms and conditions
An Entrant is any person who has entered this Promotion in accordance with these terms and conditions
Employees or directors of the Promoter or Sponsor, immediate family members of any employee or director of the Promoter or Sponsor, any retailer, supplier, associated company or agency of the Promoter or Sponsor are not eligible to enter
Entries not completed in accordance with these terms and conditions are void
Entries will be deemed void if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way
The first entry draw will win:
– Five (5) nights’ accommodation for two (2) people at Prince Waikīkī
– VIP Seating for two (2) people at Pā‘ina Lū‘au in Waikīkī at the Waikīkī Beach Marriott Resort & Spa
– Admission to Battleship Missouri at Pearl Harbor for two (2) people and one choice of upgraded Captain’s Tour or Chief Engineer’s Tour
– A $200 voucher for the Royal Hawaiian Center in Waikīkī
– Flights are not included in this competition

If, due to circumstances beyond Explore Media’s control, the supplier is unable to provide the stated prize, Explore Media will not be held responsible.
To submit a complete and valid online entry, entrants will be required to provide personal details, including full name, email address, postcode and contact phone number/s for the purpose of verifying eligibility. Any contact details entered incorrectly shall invalidate the entry
Illegible, incomprehensible and incomplete entries will be deemed invalid
The Promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and to disqualify any entry which, in the opinion of the Promoter, includes objectionable content, profanity, potentially insulting, inflammatory or defamatory statements, disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms & Conditions or who has, in the opinion of the Promoter, engaged in conduct in entering the Promotion which is fraudulent, misleading, deceptive or generally damaging to the goodwill or reputation of the Promotion and/or Promoter. This includes, but not limited, to entrants and households using multiple email addresses, postal addresses or PO Box addresses. The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify a winner if Promoter becomes aware that the winner and/or the winners’ entry is of a type described in this clause
Only one entry per person is permitted
The winner will be decided the day after the competition closes and contacted within seven days by telephone, email or post
In early July the winner will be announced on the Explore Hawaii Facebook page.
The Promoter will make all reasonable effort to contact the winner. If the prize is unclaimed within 14 days from competition close, an unclaimed prize draw will be held at the end of the month. The original winner will forfeit the prize and the winner of the unclaimed prize draw will be notified by phone or in writing within seven (7) days of the draw
Whilst every care will be taken to make sure the winner receives the prize the Promoter does not take any responsibility for parcels that are lost or stolen
All entries and any copyright subsisting in the entries become and remain the property of the Promoter who may publish any of the entries received
