Fashion, art, design, science and technology will soon collide at GOMA’s newest exhibition – Iris van Herpen: Sculpting the Senses. Exclusive to Brisbane, this exhibition is an immersive sensory exploration of Dutch fashion designer Iris van Herpen’s practice, with close to 100 garments in conversation with contemporary artworks, natural history specimens and cultural artefacts, from which the designer draws inspiration.

That’s not all, every Friday night from July 12 to October 4, gallery-goers can experience the fabulous Iris van Herpen exhibition at GOMA Friday Nights – an after-dark party featuring Brisbane’s best DJs, film screenings and drop-in drawing sessions.

You can relax and indulge with a drink or bite to eat at the bar overlooking the river, or warm up and experience the sounds of DJ dameeeela as she creates unforgettable dance floor moments in the Long Gallery. Right in the heart of the exhibition, you can witness dancer Elijah-Jade Bowen (Mununjali and Guugu Yimithirr) with a performance responding to the ambient exhibition soundscape, composed by artist Salvador Breed.
