In a year when the cost of the weekly shopping has hit crippling levels for many families, Aussie shoppers have voted supermarket own-brands as some of their favourite products. Five thousand Australian shoppers voted for their favourite supermarket products in the annual Product of the Year awards. New research has found, unsurprisingly, that nine out of 10 shoppers put affordability above all else when choosing products at the supermarket. More than 30 products from a range of categories have been recognised as part of the awards, hailing from Coles, Woolworths, Kmart and Nestle.
