Venture Hunting & Outdoors - $5,000 Shopping Spree Giveaway

Submission of entries in the Venture Hunting & Outdoors ('the Promoter') $5,000 Shopping Spree Giveaway (‘the Competition’) is deemed acceptance of these terms and conditions (‘Terms and Conditions’).

1. PROMOTER
This giveaway is held by Venture Hunting & Outdoors, located at 2/3353 Pacific Motorway Springwood, QLD Australia.

2. PROMOTIONAL PERIOD
The giveaway promotional period will run from 06:00 AEST on 12th December, 2024 and close at 17:00 AEST on 31st January, 2025.
The winner will be drawn and announced within 14 days of the competition's end date.

3. THE PRIZE
The winner will receive a gift card to the value of $5,000, redeemable only at Venture Hunting and Outdoors. The prize is non-transferable, non-refundable, and cannot be redeemed for cash. Gift cards are valid for three years from date of issue, after which point the value is nullified and the gift card is void.

4. HOW TO WIN
The winner will be selected by a panel of judges, analysing entrants responses to the to the skill-based question ("In 25 words or less, what does hunting mean to you?"). No other information will be taken into consideration, and the entrant will be selected solely on the response to the skill-based question.
Failure to meet the Terms and Conditions will result in immediate disqualification. In this instance, the promoter reserves the right to:

    Withhold the prize, or
    Select another winner, with or without the official announcement of the new winner.

5. ENTRANTS
Entrants must be over 18 years old to enter.
Entrants must be Australian residents and currently residing in Australia.
Once a winner has been judged, we will contact the winner to ascertain their consent to have their name publicised in the winner announcement. Entrants have the right to refuse to have their name publicised in this announcement should they so wish.

6. JUDGING PROCESS
Judging Criteria for Skill-Based Entry:
Entries will be evaluated by a panel of 2 judges using the following objective criteria:
- Originality (0-5 points)
- Depth of Reflection (0-5 points)
- Clarity of Expression (0-5 points)

In the event of a tie, the entry with the highest 'Depth of Reflection' score will be selected.

7. THE DRAW
The winner of the competition will be selected by a panel of judges based on their response to the skill-based question.
The winner will be notified in writing via the nominated email.
The result is final, and no correspondence will be entered into.
The winner will be contacted no later than 14 days after the close of the competition entry dates.
The prize can be redeemed via the online store or in either of Venture's retail stores, with logistical arrangements handled by the Venture Hunting & Outdoors team.
The winner will be required to provide proof of age to receive the prize.
In the instance of an unclaimed prize, a new winner will be drawn.
If the competition winner does not respond within 72 hours, a replacement winner will be determined via the same judging process. If a replacement winner is selected, details will not be made publicly available.

8. FACEBOOK/INSTAGRAM/META
By entering this competition, you agree to release Facebook/Instagram/Meta of any liability or obligation related to the entry, and you acknowledge that the promotion is in no way sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with, Facebook/Instagram/Meta.

9. CONTRACT LAW
All agreements and contracts shall be subject solely to Australian law and the exclusive jurisdiction of the Australian courts.

10. ACKNOWLEDGEMENTS
Participants are responsible for ensuring their entries are received on time.

11. PERSONAL INFORMATION
The collection, use, and disclosure of personal information provided in connection with this competition is governed by the Privacy Laws of Australia. Your personal information shall not be provided to any third parties outside of Venture Hunting & Outdoors.

12. MARKETING COMMUNICATIONS
By submitting your email and/or mobile number, you authorise Venture Hunting & Outdoors to contact you with information related to the competition, as well as further marketing communications, including but not limited to sales and promotions. All marketing communications will have unsubscribe options to opt out of further marketing communications not pertaining to the giveaway.

13. FORCE MAJEURE CLAUSE
In the event that the competition cannot be conducted as planned due to circumstances beyond the reasonable control of Venture Hunting & Outdoors, including but not limited to:

    Natural disasters
    Severe weather events
    Pandemic or epidemic
    Government actions or restrictions
    Civil unrest or industrial action
    Technological failures
    Cyber attacks or security breaches
    Unexpected infrastructure disruptions

The Promoter reserves the right to:
a) Cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the competition
b) Select a winner from entries received prior to the event of force majeure
c) Modify the prize or competition mechanics to comply with unexpected circumstances

The Promoter will use reasonable endeavours to minimise the impact of such events and communicate any changes transparently to participants. Where possible, the Promoter will provide alternative means of conducting the competition that most closely align with the original competition intent.

Participants acknowledge and accept that the Promoter shall not be liable for any losses, damages, or disappointments arising from such events or any subsequent changes to the competition.

This clause is intended to provide flexibility while maintaining fairness and transparency in exceptional circumstances that prevent the normal conduct of the competition.
