Enjoy an unforgettable evening to fight wildlife extinction​

Spend an incredible evening out with some of the world’s most iconic animals. Adventure onto the savannah for an intimate, extended safari tour and delight in immersive African performances. Enjoy cocktails and snacks at Hippo Beach or feast with family and friends on a traditional African braai BBQ.*

Sunset Safari helps Zoos Victoria support sister zoos such as Uganda Wildlife Conservation Education Centre.

What's included

    Tour the savannah with an expert Safari Guide: Enjoy time with friends and family on an adventure through the open-range savannah. Keep an eye out for Werribee Open Range Zoo's new rhino calf, Jabulani, as you roam across the plains past our herds of giraffe and zebras.
    Explore the walking trail after hours: Explore the zoo at dusk as you wander past meerkats, lions, monkeys, wild dogs, and hippos.
    Move to the sounds of Africa: Immerse yourself in the rhythm and soul of Africa during a performance of drums, song and dance. Feel inspired to jump up and join in as the beat takes over and the music moves you.
    Indulge in cocktails and an African-inspired BBQ: Enjoy cocktails and snacks at Hippo Beach, African-inspired BBQ on Kia lawn, or à la carte dining in the Meerkat Bistro with both indoor and outdoor seating available. All food and drinks sold separately.
