Title: Win 1/10 double passes to Chihuly in the Botanic Gardens - Sunday Mail - SA Post by: culturebird on Sunday 26 January 2025, 06:37:17 am Imagine this: you’re exploring Adelaide Botanic Garden’s soft green lawns and avenues of gigantic trees when you come across huge artworks hanging from strong branches, floating in the lakes or emerging from flowerbeds.
On your journey through the garden, you will discover lots of these magnificent sculptures. They were created by the world-famous American artist Dale Chihuly. And guess what? They are made out of glass! You’ll find them in different shapes, sizes and in all the colours of the rainbow. Hunt for all 15 outside then go inside the leafy rainforest conservatory to see more glass sculptures nestled in the lush foliage and videos of the glass being blown into its amazing shapes. You can take part in another fun competition there, too, called Moore Critters. Use your imagination to draw a nature-inspired creature that could be made into your own glass sculpture to keep. Chihuly in the Botanic Garden is open daily until April 29, and entry is free to the outside exhibition. Chill is giving 10 lucky families an adult double pass (kids aged 12 and under can enter free) to see these incredible artworks lit up at Chihuly Nights, which includes evening entry to the conservatory. Each double pass is valued at $50 each. TO ENTER: Colour in the picture and scan or photograph it and send it with your details to CHILL at chill@sundaymail.com.au Entries close at 11pm on Saturday. Winners will be drawn on Monday and notified by mail, phone or email. |
