Competition Terms and Conditions
“Win tickets to Star Wars Celebration in Japan”
It is important that you read and understand these Competition Terms and Conditions comprising Entry Details
and Standard Terms and Conditions, particularly paragraphs about Disney’s legal responsibility to you. If you do
not understand these Competition Terms and Conditions, you should seek help to understand them. By entering
into the competition, you acknowledge and accept these Terms and Conditions.
ENTRY DETAILS
A. Competition Period Entry is open from 9 March 2025 at 09:00 am AEDT and closes on 16 March 2025
at 11:59 pm AEDT. Entry can only be made during the Competition Period.
B. Eligibility You must be 18 years of age or older at the time of submitting an entry, be a
resident of Australia or New Zealand, not be ineligible under clause 4 of the
Standard Terms and Conditions and must not have breached these Terms and
Conditions. By “resident” we mean Australian or New Zealand citizens and
permanent residents.
C. How to Enter During the Competition Period, eligible entrants must:
i. Follow the @StarWarsAUNZ Instagram account;
ii. Go to the competition page located at
https://signup.disney.com.au/star-wars-celebration-competition (the
“Competition Page”); and
iii. Enter their contact details including first name, last name, postcode,
phone number, Instagram handle and email address on the
Competition Page as directed;
(the “Entry”).
Failure to include all of the above mentioned information will result in the Entry
being deemed invalid.
D. Entry Limits One (1) per person. Each person is eligible to win one (1) prize, subject to state
legislation.
E. Prize Details There will be three (3) prizes to be won as follows:
o A seven (7) day trip for up the winner and up to one (1) guest
aged twelve (12) years old or older (together, the “Group”),
travelling together on the same itinerary to Tokyo, Japan for the
Star Wars Celebration Japan 2025 event from 18-20 April 2025
(“Star Wars Celebration”), valued at a maximum of $13,490
including:
o Two (2) x 3 day general admission tickets for the Group to attend
Star Wars Celebration valued at up to AUD$500;
o Return economy class airfares for the Group from the major
international airport closest to the winner’s residence in
Australia or New Zealand (“Departure Airport”) to either
Haneda Airport or Narita Airport, Japan (“Arrival Airport”), with
possible layovers (airport and flights to be selected by Disney in
Terms and Conditions – Game of Chance
its sole and absolute discretion), including airfare related taxes
and charges, valued at up to AUD$8,000;
o Six (6) nights 4-star hotel accommodation for the Group sharing
one room including breakfast, valued at a maximum of
AU$4,140.00, inclusive of GST (“Accommodation”).
o Return ground transfers for the Group between Arrival Airport
and the Accommodation, valued at up to AUD$850;
(together, the “Prize”).
The Prize is valued at a total of maximum AUD$40,470 (inclusive of GST).
The Prize excludes:
o any domestic flights within the winner’s country of residence or
any other transportation from/to the winner’s residence to/from
the Departure Airport;
o baggage fees;
o insurance (health, travel, medical);
o parking fees;
o room service, laundry service, or spa treatments;
o food or beverages;
o merchandise, souvenirs;
o incidental expenses;
o local or long-distance telephone calls;
o tips, gratuities, service charges;
o federal, state and local taxes, except as expressly stated in the
Prize; and
o costs and expenses not expressly stated in the Prize.
Other restrictions, terms and conditions as determined by Disney also apply to the
Prize and will be notified to the winner.
F. Winners’ Selection 17 March 2025 at 2:00pm AEDT (the “Selection Date”).
G. Notification of
Winners
The winners will be notified by phone and via email on or around 18 March 2025
(the “Notification Date”). The winners will be contacted no later than 19 March
2025.
All reasonable attempts will be made to contact the winners.
H. Publication Details The winners’ last name, initials of their first names and postcode will be published
on the Competition Page within 30 days of the Winners’ Selection and Unclaimed
Prize Draw and will remain published on the Competition Page for a minimum of
28 days from the Notification Date.
I. Prize Claim Deadline Upon notification by Disney (as detailed at Item G), winners must claim their Prize
by 11:59pm AEDT on 1 April 2025.
J. Unclaimed Prize
Draw
If for whatever reason any Prize is not claimed by the Prize Claim Deadline, or the
entrant is deemed ineligible to enter the Competition and claim a Prize, an
unclaimed prize draw for the relevant Prize will be carried out on 2 April 2025 at
12:00pm AEDT.
Terms and Conditions – Game of Chance
The winner of the unclaimed prize draw will be notified in writing within 7 days of
winning and will be provided with details on how to claim the Prize.
If the Prize is not claimed as part of this unclaimed prize draw Disney, in its sole
discretion, will forfeit that Prize and no substitute will be offered. If there is no
prize winner, Disney will publish this information on the Competition Page.
