In celebration of Neighbours Every Day, Townsville City Council wants to hear the meaningful ways you connect with your community.

Neighbours Every Day is Australia's annual celebration of community, being held on Sunday 30 March. It's a dedicated day to celebrate the importance of social connection while strengthening relationships within the community.

Whether it’s a friendly chat, lending a helping hand, or simply checking in, small acts of kindness can make a big impact.

Let us know what simple acts of kindness you share with your neighbours and go in the draw to win:

    A YETI Tundra 110 Hard Cooler (valued at $800); and
    A BBQ prize pack to share with your neighbours (valued at $200)

Neighbours Every Day 2025 - Competition
PROMOTER Townsville City Council (“Council”), ABN 44 741 992 072, of 103 Walker
Street, Townsville, Queensland 4810.
PROMOTION
PERIOD
Entries open on Monday 10 March 2025 and close at 6pm, Sunday 23 March
2025.
WHO CAN ENTER
The Neighbours Every Day 2025 Competition (‘the Promotion’) is open to
residents of the Townsville Local Government Area over the age of 18
years old (“Eligible Entrants”) to receive a prize pack.
The prize pack consists of:
• 1 x YETI Tundra 110 Hard Cooler (valued at $800); and
• 1 X BBQ prize pack (valued at $200)

WHO CANNOT
ENTER
The following people are not considered Eligible Entrants and cannot
enter this Promotion/competition:-
• Employees of Townsville City Council and their immediate family
members;
• Any person connected in any way with the competition or helping
to set up the competition.
HOW TO ENTER
During the promotion period, the Promoter will provide an online entry
link via Formsite. An Eligible Entrant can enter the competition by
providing their personal details and answering a question to share what
simple acts of kindness they share with their neighbours to Townsville City
Council via the Formsite link located on Council’s website at
www.townsville.qld.gov.au.
CONSENT
By entering the competition each Eligible Entrant consents and agrees to
participate in photos taken by Townsville City Council. Each Eligible
Entrant also consents to the Townsville City Council holding, using and
disclosing information about entrants for research, marketing, and
promotional purposes of Townsville City Council, including the publishing
of their image.
CONDUCT OF THE
PRIZE DRAWS
Once the competition has closed, one winner will be chosen from the
eligible Formsite entries received by an employee of the Promoter at their
absolute discretion. The winner will be contacted by phone and email on
Wednesday 26 March 2025 and will continue to be contacted until midday,
Thursday 27 March 2025.
All decisions by the Promoter regarding winning entries are final. The
prize is not redeemable for cash and is not transferable.
Please contact the Townsville City Council if you later wish to correct
information it holds.
The winner must accept their prize from 103 Walker Street, Townsville
City by 5pm, Thursday 27 March 2025, by contacting Ngaire Trigg,
Community Development Officer on 07 4727 9694 and arranging a time
and date with the Promoter.

PRIVACY STATEMENT
Townsville City Council (Council) collects and manages personal information in the course of performing its
activities, functions and duties including informing promotion winners. We respect the privacy of the
personal information held by us. The way in which Council manages personal information is governed by
the Information Privacy Act 2009. Generally, we will not disclose your personal information outside of
Council unless we are required to do so by law, or unless you have given us your consent to such disclosure.

General conditions
1. Entry is free.
2. One entry per nominee.
3. Immediate family members are identified as a spouse, parent/s, grandparent/s, sibling/s and
child/children.
4. To receive a prize, a prize winner may be required to provide Council with their personal
details.
5. By entering the competition all entrants understand and agree to participate in photographs
taken by Council post the competition draw.
6. The Promoter reserves the right to refuse any group or person entry into the Promotion at any
time.
7. Entries submitted by Eligible Entrants may be used in advertising and promotional material by
Council in any medium (including, but not limited to television, print, press, cinema, radio,
email, website and social media) and by entering the Promotion the Entrant consents to the
use/publication of the Entry for an unlimited period of time, worldwide.
8. Entries remain the property of the Promoter.
9. Participation in the Promotion indicates acceptance of the Terms and Conditions governing the
Promotion.
If the Prize Winner cannot be contacted by 5pm, Thursday 27 March 2025
the prize will be deemed unclaimed, and another winner will be selected
from the eligible entries submitted at the absolute discretion of the
Promoter.
PRIZES
The prize consists of:

• 1 X BBQ prize pack (valued at $200)
The Prize must be taken as stated and cannot be exchanged for alternate
prizes or offers.
By claiming the prize, the winner consents to Townsville City Council
using the winner’s name and photograph for promotional, marketing and
publicity purposes.

will be used to collect entries for the competition.
