TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

1. Open Day Registration 2025 Competition” (“Competition”) is a competition run by Murdoch University of 90 South Street, Murdoch, Western Australia, 6150.
2. The Competition commences at 10am on 5 March 2025 Australian Western Standard Time (AWST).
3. The closing time for entering the Competition is 3pm on 5 April 2025 AWST.
4. Bose is not a participant in or sponsor of this promotion.
5. By entering the Competition, entrants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions.
The Competition
6. To enter the Competition, participants are required to register to the Open Day 2025 event on the Murdoch University website, between 10am on 5 March 2025 and 3pm on 5 April 2025 AWST and select “I agree to the Terms & Conditions”.
7. All entries must be received no later than 3pm on 5 April 2025 (AWST).
8. Late entries will not be accepted and Murdoch University is not liable for late, lost or misdirected entries.
9. Participant must reside in the State of Western Australia
10. Entrants may only enter the Competition once.
11. Murdoch University students and employees and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter the Competition.
12. Instructions on how to enter and other details contained within promotional advertisements for this Competition form part of the conditions of entry.
13. Entry to the Competition is free.
14. Entrants will be responsible for all costs associated with entering the Competition.
15. By entering the Competition, the entrant agrees that they are over the age of 18 years, or if under the age of 18 years, have their parent’s or legal guardian’s consent to enter the Competition.
Prizes
16. Participants enter the draw to win one of five Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones. The prize is not exchangeable or transferable.
 The prize winners of the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones will be contacted within seven (7) days of the draw by the mobile
telephone number or email supplied by the entrant.
 The combined total value of the five (5) prizes (5 x Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones) is estimated at approximately AUD$3,229.75.
17. Subject to clause 18 prizes will be drawn at 10am on Thursday 10 April 2025 AWST. The five (5) winners will be selected randomly from a database containing all eligible entries received.
18. If the prize winner is under the age of 18 years, the prize will be awarded to the winner’s parent or legal guardian.
19. If a winner disputes these Terms and Conditions, that winner will not be entitled to the prize and Murdoch University may at its discretion
award the prize to another entrant in accordance with the Terms and Conditions or choose not to award the prize.
20. If the prize becomes unavailable for any reason, Murdoch University may, but is under no obligation to, substitute a prize of like or equal value. 21. Murdoch University takes no responsibility for the loss of the prize or the inability of the prize winner to use the prize for any reason whatsoever including but not limited to incorrect or imprecise delivery details provided by a winner.
22. Murdoch University makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the prize.
Personal Data Use and Collection
23. By entering the Competition entrants warrant that their personal details are true and accurate and grant Murdoch University permission to use their personal details for Murdoch University’s direct marketing purposes.
24. Competition prize winners acknowledge and agree that their acceptance of a prize constitutes their permission for Murdoch University to use their name and suburb of residence for advertising, marketing and promotional purposes without compensation to the prize winner, unless otherwise prohibited by law.
25. All entries to the Competition remain the property of Murdoch University.
26. Murdoch University will not use an entrant’s personal information for any other purpose other than set out in these Terms and Conditions without the entrant’s consent unless required or authorised to do so by law. 27. Murdoch University will maintain records of the Competition for 12 months after the draw.
Miscellaneous
28. Murdoch University’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
29. Murdoch University and its related entities, employees, contractors, servants or agents shall not be liable for and accept no responsibility for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property arising out of any act or omission, whether negligent or otherwise in conjunction with the Competition or the prize, occurring either during or after the Competition.
30. Murdoch University is not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any problems or any financial costs incurred, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to entrants or any other persons related to or resulting from participation in this Competition.
31. Participation in the Competition constitutes the entrant’s unconditional agreement to and acceptance of the Terms and Conditions.
32. Entrants are responsible for ensuring his or her familiarity with the Terms and Conditions.
33. Murdoch University’s decision not to enforce a specific restriction does not constitute a waiver of that restriction or of the Terms and Conditions generally.
34. Murdoch University may in its absolute discretion refuse to award any prize to any entrant who fails to comply with these Terms and Conditions. 35. Murdoch University reserves the right to suspend, modify, postpone or cancel the Competition at any time and without prior notice.
36.To the extent permitted by law, all entrants release from, and indemnify Murdoch University and its related entities, employees, contractors, servants or agents against all liability, cost, loss or expense arising out of acceptance of any prize(s) or participation in the Competition including (but not limited to) loss of income, loss of opportunity, personal injury and damage to property, whether direct or consequential, foreseeable future.
