For clarity, eligible mobile device means any eligible mobile device that is purchased outright.

Excluding prepaid mobile SIM and prepaid mobile plans, business plans and accessories.

Entry instructions

To automatically receive an entry, you must, during the Competition Period make a Qualifying Purchase via My Optus app or Online Store.

The Promoter is not responsible if your mobile device/desktop is not sufficiently capable for the purpose of submitting an entry.

How many winners will there be and how will they be chosen?

There will be 10 winners determined in respect of this competition.

There will be 1 draw conducted.

The draw will be held at 12pm (AEST) on 11/04/2025 at Gadens Lawyers, Level 13, 447 Collins Street, Melbourne VIC 3000.

The first 10 valid entries drawn randomly from the entries received during the Competition Period will each win a prize.

The Promoter may draw additional reserve entries in a draw and record them in order, in case a winning entry/entrant is deemed invalid or a prize is unclaimed (Reserve Entrants).

What can I win?

There are 10 prizes available.

Each prize is a $1,000 VISA e-gift card.

Any ancillary costs associated with redeeming the Visa e-gift card are not included. Redemption of the Visa e-gift card is subject to the terms and conditions associated with the Visa e-gift card located at https://activgiftcard.com.au/terms/.

There is a limit of one prize per person (except for SA residents).

Total prize pool

The total prize pool is $10,000.00.

How many times can I enter?

You can enter multiple times, provided you only enter once per Qualifying Purchase.

Each entry must be submitted separately in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.

How and when will the winner/s be informed?

Winners will be notified by phone and in writing by email within 7 days of determination and will have their first name initial, last name and postcode published on the Website on 18/04/2025 for a period of 28 days.

Unclaimed prize/s

Prize claim date: By 5pm (AEST) on 02/05/2025.

Unclaimed prize determination: 12pm (AEST) on 05/05/2025 at the same location as the original draw.

If a prize has not been accepted or claimed by the prize claim date above or if, after making all reasonable attempts, the Promoter can't contact a winner (or a winner does not contact the Promoter) by the prize claim date above, the relevant entry/ies will be discarded and the Promoter will re-award the relevant prize/s to Reserve Entrant/s and/or carry out an unclaimed prize draw at the date, time and place stated above to randomly distribute the prize/s amongst valid entrants who (if possible) have not already won an unclaimed prize. Any winner/s will be informed by phone and in writing by email within 7 days of determination and will also have their first name initial, last name and postcode published on the Website on 09/05/2025 for a period of 28 days.

If any prize remains un-won at the end of this competition, or if a prize winner cannot be found, that information will be published on the Website on 29/05/2025.

Collection and use of your personal information

If you are a winner, the Promoter may ask you to take part in some publicity, photography and other promotional activity as the Promoter requires, without any compensation. You consent to the Promoter using your name and image in any promotional or advertising activity.

The Promoter collects personal information about you in order to conduct and manage this competition. If the personal information requested is not provided, you may not be able to participate in this competition. The Promoter may disclose your personal information to third parties including its related bodies corporate, contractors and agents, prize suppliers and service providers that assist in conducting and managing this Promotion. Your personal information may be disclosed to an entity located outside of Australia, in accordance with the Promoter’s privacy policy.

The Promoter's Privacy Policy, located at https://www.optus.com.au/privacy contains information about :

a) how to seek access to the personal information the Promoter holds about you and seek correction of the information; and
b) how to complain about a privacy breach and how the Promoter will deal with such a complaint.

Where you have opted-in to receive marketing from the Promoter, you consent to the Promoter keeping your personal information on its database to use for future marketing purposes, including contacting you by electronic messaging provided that where required by the Spam Act 2003 (Cth), the Promoter includes a functional unsubscribe facility in each direct marketing communication it sends you that you may use to opt-out of any further such communications and provided that the functional unsubscribe facility complies with the Spam Regulations 2021 (Cth).

By entering, you consent to receive email or SMS messages from the Promoter without any functional unsubscribe facility if they relate primarily to the conduct of this competition.
