Adapted by Rebecca Lenkiewicz from Raynor Winn’s 2018 memoir, THE SALT PATH is set against stunning coastal landscapes. It tells the story of middle-aged couple, Ray (Gillian Anderson) and Moth (Jason Isaacs) who impulsively embark on a 630-mile walk along the southwest English coast from Dorset to Somerset after losing their home.

3. Who can enter
The competition is free to enter and requires no purchases. Entry is open to all Australian
and New Zealand residents aged 18 years or over during the promotional period (Thursday
20 March 2025 to Wednesday 14 May 2025). RAW Travel employees, their immediate
families, and organisations and agents associated or affiliated with RAW Travel are ineligible
to enter.
4. How to enter
● The competition commences on Thursday 20 March. Entries close at midnight on
Wednesday 14 May.
● Entry is free.
● Entry is via the competition entry form on the RAW Travel competition page.
● Multiple entries by a single person are not permitted.
● The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any late, or misdirected, entries, or for
entries that are not successfully completed for any reason, which include, but are not
limited to, technical problems with the Promoter’s website and network congestion.
5. Prize (x1) - description
● 8-day self-guided walk for two (2) people on England’s South West Coast Path from
Padstow to St Ives.
● Total prize valued at AUD$4000.
● Trip includes accommodation, luggage transfers, breakfasts and other inclusions as
outlined in the itinerary on the RAW Travel website.
The prize excludes flights. See full Prize Terms, below.
6. Determining the winners
The competition for the main prize is a game of skill. Chance plays no part in determining
the winner.
All competition entries will be judged by a team of RAW Travel staff. The winner will be
determined and announced on Friday, 16 May 2025, i.e. within 5 days of the winner being
determined. The winner will be notified by phone and email.
7. Winner obligations
The winner agrees to participate and cooperate, as required, in all publicity activities relating
to the Competition, including, without limitation, being interviewed, photographed, filmed
and recorded. Each winner authorises the Promoter to use such content for advertising and
publicity purposes in any media in perpetuity worldwide.
8. Prize terms
● Trip prize will be issued directly by RAW Travel. It is non-transferable, non-refundable
and non-redeemable for cash or other goods or services.
● An alternative trip of equal value may be offered, subject to availability and at the
discretion of the promoter.
● Travel must be booked between 12 and 6 months before departure, for travel in
2026.
● The prize winner and their companion must travel together on the same itinerary, on
the same dates.
● By entering this competition, the entrant is determining that they and their
companion are in a good physical condition and able to take part in the walk
selected.
● As per our standard trip Booking Conditions, RAW Travel reserves the right to refuse
entry onto a trip if we feel that a person(s) may not have the necessary fitness or
experience to undertake a trip safely.
● Should the prize winner not be able to undertake the trip then RAW Travel is not
liable for any compensation if the prize winner cannot take the prescribed trip,
provided that RAW Travel has made reasonable efforts to accommodate the prize
winner’s requested dates.
● The winner will be notified by email and telephone. The prize winner announcement
will be included in RAW Travel’s newsletter and on RAW Travel’s social media pages.
● RAW Travel reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including
an entrant’s identity, age and place of residence).
● RAW Travel’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
● All flights, applicable taxes, levies and surcharges, passports, visa requirements or
visa related charges, meals (unless included in an itinerary and specified), additional
accommodation, incidentals, excess baggage charges, travel insurance, and all other
travel related expenses and ancillary costs are the responsibility of the prize winner.
● RAW Travel accepts no liability for any loss or claim arising from or as a result of the
prize.
● The prize winner must be covered by travel insurance to protect against the
additional costs incurred in the event of unforeseen circumstances or medical
emergencies. Travel insurance can be arranged at the prize-winner’s own expense via
RAW Travel or a licensed travel agent. It is the responsibility and expense of the prize
winner to verify and organise any applicable travel visas for the destinations chosen
and to have up to date travel passports, which is not the responsibility or expense of
RAW Travel.
9. Unforeseen circumstances
The Promoter may, at any time, at their sole discretion and without prior notice, amend or
modify these Terms, vary the trip offer and may also suspend, interrupt, terminate or
discontinue this Competition at any time (as it may reasonably deem necessary due to
circumstances beyond its control) without notice or liability to anyone. This applies in
particular in the event of any circumstances that disrupt the Competition or prevent it from
proceeding as planned.
10. Privacy
The promoter will collect and use each entrant’s personal information for the purposes of:
● conducting the Competition
● providing information about products and services offered by RAW Travel in the form
of a newsletter.
