Travel Terms

The Winner and invitees must travel by October 2nd 2026 (The prize winner must travel within the 2026 season, no later than the final available departure date of the itinerary, which is 2 October 2026.) or the prize will be forfeited.

The preferred travel date will be handled on request and cannot be guaranteed in advance, as confirmation depends on the availability of FIT seat allocations on specific panoramic trains. We will, of course, support the winner in securing their preferred or closest available departure based on real-time availability.

Booking must be done June 15, 2026


 

*Booking requirement: The booking must be placed at least 30 days prior to departure.

Prize must be accepted in writing by the Winner, including a confirmation of the names of all travelers. To be eligible to receive the Prize, the winner and invitees must all possess valid passports that expire no earlier than 6 months after the tour of the Prize ends.

The final travel date must be confirmed to TourRadar, and all necessary documentation and information needed for traveling, such as passport data, must be submitted at least 30 days prior to the intended departure. Otherwise, the Prize is forfeited, and the Sponsors may choose another winner.

Once the trip is confirmed, it cannot be altered. Entrants agree to abide by the general Terms & Conditions as listed on the TourRadar website.

Air and/or ground transportation to the nearest major international airport from the winner’s residence is not provided by Sponsors and will be the Prize winner's sole responsibility.

All airfares, accommodation, and ticketed events are subject to availability at the time of redemption. Travel must be round trip. Winner and guests must travel together on the same itinerary, including the same departure date, destination, and return date, and must have valid travel documents (e.g., valid government-issued photo ID, visa, and passport as applicable) and any applicable inoculations prior to departure. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture of the prize.

 

Travel companions must execute liability/publicity releases prior to the issuance of travel documents.

 

Sponsors are not responsible for any delays, postponements, or cancellations of flights or any other aspects of the trip. In such cases, the Prize is forfeited without substitution or compensation.

 

Comprehensive travel insurance is mandatory for the winners and their invitees. The Sponsors have the right to refuse passengers without the required insurance cover.
Entry Conditions and Release

The Sweepstakes is open to individuals who are at least 18 years old at the time of entry. Employees of the Sponsors, their affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, and their immediate family members are not eligible to participate.

 

Eligible persons may enter (‘Entrants’) the Sweepstakes by visiting https://www.tourradar.com/travel/i-need-switzerland. Entrants must provide all requested information, including a valid email address, and accept these Terms and Conditions. Any incomplete, inaccurate, or illegible entries will be disqualified.

LIMIT: One (1) Sweepstakes entry per person.

The Sweepstakes starts on 01.03.2026 and ends on 31.03.2026.

The drawing of the Sweepstakes will take place before 15.04.2026. Winners will be selected at random from all eligible entries received during the entry period.

The winner will be informed via the provided email by latest  15.04.2026.

THE ELIGIBILITY OF ALL POTENTIAL SWEEPSTAKES WINNERS IS SUBJECT TO VERIFICATION BY THE SPONSORS, WHOSE DECISIONS ARE FINAL AND BINDING IN ALL MATTERS RELATED TO THE SWEEPSTAKES.
General Conditions

Sponsors’ decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to this Sweepstakes, including, but not limited to, interpretation and application of these Terms and Conditions.

By entering the Promotion, Entrants fully and unconditionally agree to be bound by these rules and the decisions of the judges, which will be final and binding in all matters relating to the Sweepstakes.

By entering the Promotion, each Entrant agrees to:

Comply with and be bound by these Terms and Conditions and the decisions of the Sponsors.

Release and hold harmless the Sponsors, affiliated companies, prize suppliers, and any other organizations responsible for sponsoring, fulfilling, administering, advertising, or promoting the Sweepstakes from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liability arising out of or related to participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance/use of the Prize.

Indemnify the Released Parties from and against any and all claims, expenses, and liabilities arising out of or related to participation in the Sweepstakes or acceptance, use, non-use, or misuse of the Prize.
Data Protection, Image Rights & Publicity

Sweepstakes Entrants agree that by providing their email address, they give permission to be added to TourRadar’s and Partner’s online newsletter lists and receive future correspondence via email. Entrants may remove their name from these lists at any time by clicking 'unsubscribe'.

Except where prohibited by law, participation in the Promotion constitutes the winner’s consent to the Partner’s and TourRadar's use of the Winner’s name, likeness, photograph, voice, opinions, and/or hometown and state for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without further payment or consideration.
State and Country Exceptions

The Sweepstakes is not open to residents of India, Belgium, Sweden, Quebec, Florida, New York, and Rhode Island.
Sweepstakes Cancellation

The Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend, and/or modify the Sweepstakes, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures, or any other factor beyond the Sponsors' reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Sweepstakes.

Sponsors reserve the right to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or acting in violation of these Terms and Conditions.

If, for any reason, the Sweepstakes is not capable of running as planned due to factors beyond the Sponsors' control, the Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the Sweepstakes.
Disputes

Entrant agrees that any disputes, claims, and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Sweepstakes shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action.

Disputes shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Austria. Any claims shall be brought in a court of competent jurisdiction located in 1010 Vienna, Austria.
