TERMS AND CONDITIONS: By entering the Sunrise x Sydney Cake Picnic Competition (“Competition”), you agree to the following terms and conditions: 1. STANDARD TERMS 1.1 Information on how to enter forms part of the terms of entry. 2. WHO CAN ENTER? 2.1 2.2 2.3 2.4 2.5 Subject to clause 2.2 and 2.4, entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and older, where the Channel Seven signal is received. Employees and their immediate family members of Seven Network (Operations) Limited (“Promoter”), KitchenAid Australia (“Sponsor”) and their associated agencies and companies and any prize suppliers are not eligible to enter. In clause 2.2, a reference to “Immediate Family Member” includes a spouse, defacto spouse, parent, natural or adopted child or sibling living in the same residence. The Winner must be able to bring an entire cake as detailed in clause 4.6 to the event along with their ticket to enter the premises. To be eligible to enter, entrants must be able to travel to the Royal Botanic Gardens on Saturday March 28th 2026. If the Winner is unable to do so, they will be deemed invalid and forfeit all rights to the Prize. 3. HOW TO ENTER 3.1 3.2 3.3 3.4 The competition commences on Wednesday 25th March 2026 at 5:30am AEDT and concludes on Thursday 26th March 2026 at 12:00pm AEDT (the “Competition Period”). In order to enter, viewers must: • Visit the Sunrise website and register their full name, address (including state and postcode), email address, and mobile phone number on the Competition page [Sunrise.com.au]; and • Submit an answer to the competition question, “In 25 words or less, tell us why you deserve to win a double pass to the Sydney Cake Picnic this weekend and what cake you’ll bring?” • Tick the check box, confirming they are available to attend the Sydney Cake Picnic at the Royal Botanic Gardens on Saturday 28th March 2026. Entries must be received by Thursday 26th March 2026 at 12:00pm AEDT. Entrants may enter as many times as they like throughout the competition period. 3.5 The entry must be: (a) the original independent creation of the entrant; 3.6 3.7 3.8 3.9 (b) written in English; and (c) free from any claims, including but not restricted to copyright or trademark claims, by other parties. Entry details including all submissions made remain the property of the Promoter and will not be returned to the entrant. The Winner agrees to grant the Promoter a perpetual, irrevocable and non-exclusive license to use their entries in all media worldwide and the Winner will not be entitled to any fee for such use. Any entry that contains content that the Promoter, in its sole discretion, considers to be offensive or inappropriate in any way or that the Promoter considers, in its sole discretion, to infringe any intellectual property rights or other rights of any person, corporation or entity, will be considered ineligible. The decision to accept or reject an entry is at the Promoter’s sole discretion and no correspondence will be entered into. The Promoter and Sponsor are not responsible for any data or other information related to this Competition that may be lost, damaged as a result of any computer software or hardware malfunction. Any issues occurring as a result of computer / server/ software problems will be rectified as quickly as possible. Entrants must provide accurate and complete information when submitting entries, or the entry will be deemed invalid. The Promoter reserves the right, at any time, to verify the validity of entries and entrants (including an entrant’s identity, age, validity of driver’s license and place of residence) and to disqualify any entrant who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Terms and Conditions or who tampers with the entry process. Errors and omissions will be accepted at the Promoter’s discretion. Failure by the Promoter to enforce any of its rights at any stage does not constitute a waiver of those rights. 4. PRIZES 4.1 There will be Two (2) Prize Winners of the Competition (“Winners”). These are the responsibilities of the Winner. The Prize is non-transferrable. No cash alternative is available for the Prize. The Prize must be taken as offered. Any unused portion of the Prize, or portion of the Prize, the Winner is not entitled to, and is not exchangeable or cannot be redeemed as cash. The Prize cannot be used in conjunction with any other special offer. The Prize value is in Australian dollars. The Promoter and Sponsor accept no responsibility for any variation in the Prize values. All cakes brough to the event must be a minimum of 8 inches wide and 3 inches tall. Do not bring cakes in aluminum / tin pans. All cakes served on the cake tables must be on cake boards for display and decorated beautifully. Cakes can be homemade or store-bought. Kids under 12 years old do not need a ticket or a whole cake to attend and participate, with accompanying adult. Everyone else 12 years and older will need a ticket and cake to participate. All cakes must be labeled with major allergens. The Winner must be in line for the event by 9:30 AM on the event day. After 9:30 AM, the event will no longer accept anyone in the queue. If the winner/s miss this time, they will not be able to participate in the event. CAKE PICNIC is an outdoor event; the team will be monitoring the forecast and will make a decision about the event 48 hours before. If rain or severe heat is forecast, the event start time may be pushed back and all ticket holders will be contacted in advance with further instruction. The double passes are subject to any and all terms and conditions provided by the Sponsor and as listed here https://www.cakepicnictour.com/sydney. The Promoter’s decision is final, and the Promoter will not enter into correspondence regarding the Competition result. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the Prize and the Sponsor’s requirements. Personal information about the Prize Winner will be shared with the Sponsor, and their agents, to the extent necessary for the Prize to be fulfilled to the Winner. The Prize will be awarded to the person named in their contestant entry. Should an entrant’s contact details change during the Competition Period it is the entrant’s responsibility to notify the Promoter. A request to access or modify any information provided in an entry should be directed to the Promoter. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner may be required to sign a legal release in a form determined by the Promoter in its absolute discretion. Each entrant who has entered the Competition over the Competition Period and registered all details in accordance with clause 3 (“Qualifying Entrant”) will be entered into the Competition. The Winner will be the best valid entries as judged by a panel of representatives appointed by the Promoter having regard to authenticity, and originality at Seven Network Media City, 8 Central Avenue, Eveleigh NSW 2015 from Thursday 26th March 2026 at 12:15pm AEDT. The Competition is a game of skill and chance plays no part in determining the Winner. The Winner’s name will be published on the Sunrise website within two (2) business days of judging. The Winner will be contacted by telephone or email within two (2) business days of the publication. The Promoter reserves the right to re-judge in the event of a Winner not claiming the Prize by 10:00am AEDT on Friday 27th March 2026. If required, a re-judging will take place at 10:00am AEDT on Friday 27th March 2026 at Seven Network Media City, 8 Central Avenue, Eveleigh NSW 2015. The alternative Winner, if any, will be notified in writing and by phone within two (2) business days of the re-judging and their name published on the Sunrise website within two (2) business days of re-judging. The Winner may be announced live on the Sunrise program scheduled to be broadcast on the Seven Network between 05:30 AM AEDT to 09:00 AM AEDT on Friday 27th March 2026. Incomprehensible and illegible entries will be deemed invalid. It is a condition of accepting the Prize that the Winner must comply with all the conditions of use of the Prize requirements. NO LIABILITY 6.1 6.2 6.3 In the case of the intervention of any outside act, agent or event which prevents or significantly hinders the Promoter’s ability to proceed with the competition on the dates and in the manner described in these terms and conditions, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strike, war, pandemic, epidemic, government restraint, or act of terrorism, the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel, modify or suspend the competition. If, due to circumstances beyond the Promoter’s control, the Promoter is unable to provide the stated prize, the Promoter reserves the right to award a substitute prize. If for any reason the Competition is not capable of running as planned, due to causes including but not limited to tampering, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of the Competition, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the Competition, subject to state government legislation.
