Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter is offering an Eligible Participant a chance to win one (1) x AU$20,000 cash prize (Prize) when they either submit an entry form (maximum one (1) entry) or purchase a new Budget Direct Travel Insurance Policy (Travel Policy) and submit an entry form (maximum nine (9) entries per Travel Policy purchased, and maximum one (1) entry for submitting the form) during the Promotion Period (Promotion). The Promotion starts at 12:01am (AEST) on 15 April 2026 and ends at 10:00am (AEST) 30 June 2026 (Promotion Period). The draw will take place at the Promoters office at 9 Sherwood Road, Toowong QLD 4066 at 3:00pm (AEST) on 30 July 2026. The winner will be notified via email within two (2) Business Days and their name published on the promoters website within 28 days. Eligibility and participation criteria apply. The Travel Policy must be active and valid for not less than 21 days. Employees, officers, agents and service providers of the Promoter, and their immediate families are ineligible to enter. FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS:

In these Terms and Conditions, the following words have these meanings, unless the context otherwise requires:
“Budget Direct Travel Insurance Policy” means Budget Direct Travel Insurance Cover managed and administered by Travel Insurance Partners Limited and issued by Zurich Australian Insurance Limited.
“Commencement Date” means 15th April 2026.
“Draw Date” means 30th July 2026.
“End Date” means 30th June 2026.
“Unclaimed Draw Date” means 6th November 2026.
The promoter is Auto & General Services Pty Ltd (ABN 61 003 617 909), AFSL 241 411 (operating under the brand Budget Direct) of Level 13, Toowong Tower, 9 Sherwood Road, Toowong QLD 4066 (Promoter). The Promoter’s contact number is 1300 858 747.
These Terms and Conditions apply to the Budget Direct Travel Promotion ‘Turn Dreams into Destinations with $20,000’ (Promotion). Subject to these Terms and Conditions, the Promoter is offering participants a chance to win a prize being one (1) x AU$20,000 cash prize (Prize) when they either (i) complete and submit an entry form, or (ii) purchase a new Budget Direct Travel Insurance Policy and complete and submit an entry form, as set out under the heading “Eligibility and Participation”.
Information on how to enter, mechanics of entry and the prize form part of these Terms and Conditions. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions. If there is any conflict between these Terms and Conditions and any other published material, these Terms and Conditions prevail.
The Promotion commences at 12:01am AEST on the Commencement Date and ends at 10:00am AEST on the End Date (Promotion Period).
Any offer of Budget Direct Insurance is subject to the insurer deeming that the risk is acceptable in accordance with its underwriting criteria. Budget Direct Travel Insurance is arranged and promoted by Auto & General Services Pty Ltd (ABN 61 003 617 909, AFSL 241 411), managed and administered by Travel Insurance Partners Limited (ABN 73 144 049 230, AFSL 360138), and issued by Zurich Australian Insurance Limited (ABN 13 000 296 640, AFSL 232507). Eligibility and Participation
In order to be eligible to participate in the Promotion, a participant must meet all of the following criteria (Eligible Participant) and take the following steps:
During the Promotion Period:
If participants purchase a new Budget Direct Travel Insurance Policy through the website https://www.budgetdirect.com.au/travel-insurance.html; and
ensure the Budget Direct Travel Insurance Policy purchased pursuant to this Promotion remains active and valid for a period not less than 21 days from the purchase date; and
choose and complete the entry form that applies to their circumstances (either ‘I have a trip booked’ or “I don’t have a trip booked”), answer the questions provided, complete the entry form and submit the entry form available at https://www.budgetdirect.com.au/landingpages/travel-dreams20... (Promoter’s Website); and
be a traveller noted in the new purchased Budget Direct Travel Insurance Policy;
OR
if participants do not purchase a new Budget Direct Travel Insurance Policy;
choose and complete the entry form that applies to their circumstances (either “I have a trip booked” or “I don’t have a trip booked”), answer the questions provided, and submit the entry form available at the Promoter’s Website at https://www.budgetdirect.com.au/landingpages/travel-dreams20...
be an Australian resident aged 16 or over at time of entry (participants under the age of 18 are only eligible to enter the Promotion subject to parental/guardian consent);
provide the participant’s full name and valid email address;
not be an officer or employee of the Promoter, its related bodies corporate, or their immediate family; and
not be an officer or employee of any agents or service providers of the Promoter directly associated with the conduct of the Promotion, or their immediate family.
For the avoidance of doubt, persons who purchase a Budget Direct Travel Insurance Policy via another website or platform other than the website detailed in Clause 7A(a), for example via third party aggregation platforms such as Compare the Market or iSelect, and validly complete and submit the entry form via the Promoter’s Website, will only be eligible for one entry pursuant to Clause 9A.
Each Eligible Participant will be awarded a maximum of:
one (1) entry into the Promotion for completing and submitting an entry form during the Promotion Period as per Clause 7A(b) of these Terms and Conditions. Only one (1) entry will be awarded per Eligible Participant under this method, regardless of the number of entry forms submitted; or
ten (10) entries into the Promotion for completing and submitting an entry form and purchasing a Budget Direct Travel Insurance Policy as per Clause 7A(a) and an additional nine (9) entries for each additional Budget Direct Travel Insurance Policy purchased.
with each entry having an equal chance of winning the Prize.
The Prize draw will take place at 9 Sherwood Road, Toowong QLD 4066 (Draw Location) at 3:00pm (AEST) on the Draw Date.
The total maximum prize pool for the Promotion is AU$20,000. A total of one (1) Eligible Participant, who has provided evidence of their eligibility and the validity of their entry, upon request, to the reasonable satisfaction of the Promoter (Eligible Winner) will be drawn at random via electronic draw on the Draw Date or Unclaimed Draw Date, as is relevant. An additional five (5) reserve entries will be drawn in the same manner, location, date and time as outlined in clause 10 and this clause, and will be recorded in the order drawn, for use in the event that the Eligible Winner does not pass their cooling-off period of 21 days, declines to receive the Prize or is ineligible to accept the Prize. In such an event, the Prize will be awarded to the next reserve entry drawn.
The Eligible Winner will be notified in writing via their nominated email address within two (2) business days of the Draw Date. The Eligible Winner’s first initial, surname and post code will be published on the Promoter’s website at https://www.budgetdirect.com.au/terms-conditions/travel-drea... within 28 days of the Draw Date and will remain on the Promoter’s website for no less than 28 days. All reasonable steps will be taken by the Promoter to notify the Eligible Winner.
The Prize will be deemed unclaimed if the Promoter is not reasonably able to contact the Eligible Winner within three (3) months and one (1) day of the Draw Date via the Eligible Winner’s contact details provided at the time of entry into the Promotion.
If the Prize remains unclaimed, an unclaimed prize draw (Unclaimed Prize Draw) will be held at the Draw Location, at the same time and via the same method advised in clauses 10 and 11 on the Unclaimed Draw Date, subject to any written directions made under applicable State or Territory Legislation.
The Unclaimed Prize Draw Eligible Winner will be notified in writing via their nominated email address within two (2) business days of the Unclaimed Draw Date. The Unclaimed Prize Draw Eligible Winner’s first initial, surname and post code will be published on the Promoter’s website at https://www.budgetdirect.com.au/terms-conditions/travel-drea... within 28 days of the Unclaimed Draw Date and will remain on the Promoter’s website for no less than twenty-eight (28) days.
The cash Prize will be awarded via electronic funds transfer. The Eligible Winner, or Unclaimed Prize Draw Eligible Winner, must provide the Promoter with their correct and valid Australian bank account details, including bank account name, BSB and account number, to receive the Prize.
The Promoter will arrange for the Prize to be delivered to the Eligible Winner’s (or Unclaimed Prize Draw Eligible Winner’s) nominated bank account within 14 business days of receiving the winner’s bank details. The Promoter has no further responsibility in terms of delivering the Prize once the Prize has been delivered to the nominated bank account using the details as provided by the Eligible Winner (or Unclaimed Prize Draw Eligible Winner).
Unless expressly stated within these Terms and Conditions, all other expenses are the responsibility of the winner.
Privacy Statement and Marketing Consent
The Promoter is committed to protecting Personal Information and agrees to be bound by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). The Promoter’s privacy policy is available on the website www.budgetdirect.com.au. It contains information about how participants can complain about a breach of the Australian Privacy Principles and further details of how the Promoter will collect, store, use and disclose Personal Information can be found there. In these Terms and Conditions, Personal Information has the meaning given to it in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Entrants can gain access to, update or correct any of their Personal Information held by the Promoter by contacting the Promoter’s Privacy Officer at privacyquery@autogeneral.com.au.
Personal Information is collected by the Promoter in order to conduct this Promotion and for the purpose of facilitating the delivery of the Prize. If the Personal Information requested is not provided, then a person will be ineligible to participate in this Promotion. By entering into the Promotion, the participants consent to the Promoter disclosing the Personal Information to any regulatory authorities or to the Promoter’s related entities, using the Personal Information to process and validate the participant’s claim for the Prize, and to arrange delivery to the participant (if eligible).
By entering the Promotion, participants acknowledge that a further primary purpose for collection of the participant’s Personal Information is to contact the entrant in the future with information about the Promoter, including special offers, market research or to provide marketing materials via any medium including mail or any other form of non-real time electronic, emerging, digital or conventional communications channel whether existing now or in the future.
The Promoter will never sell an Entrant’s Personal Information to other companies, however, the Promoter may share an Entrant’s Personal Information with its Australian and overseas related companies, promotional partners, servants, employees, agents and trusted third parties, who may contact the Entrant for their legitimate commercial purposes. Some of these parties may be located outside of Australia, including but not limited to Japan, Philippines, Singapore, South Africa, United Kingdom, Canada, Israel, and the United States of America and participants understand and acknowledge that Australian Privacy Principle 8.1 will not apply to such disclosures of their personal information. By entering the Promotion, Entrants acknowledge and agree that the Promoter and any applicable third parties may use their Personal Information in the manner set out in this condition.
