A couple of days ago I disappeared. Not metaphorically. I literally escaped to a little place called The Cabin, Ghost Gum Gully in Thornton, tucked away in the beautiful Lockyer Valley, about an hour and a half from Brisbane and the northern Gold Coast.

Picture this... A cosy little cabin tucked amongst towering ghost gums. Twin outdoor clawfoot bathtubs where you can soak side by side under a sky bursting with stars.

A crackling fire with marshmallows slowly toasting (or becoming fireballs if you're like me). Rainbow lorikeets dropping by for breakfast and a cheeky resident possum called Denise appearing each evening to see what you're up to.

Rolling country views, spectacular sunsets, complete peace and absolutely no pressure to be anywhere or do anything.

Just the two of you. No school lunches. No work emails. Just fresh country air, birdsong and time together.

Thanks to the wonderful Cabin owners, one lucky couple is going to experience
